You can't often use “Tumi” and “great deal” in the same sentence. Tumi is one of the best-known, high-end luggage manufacturers out there, after all.
But through Sunday, Sept. 22, there is an opportunity to get over 50% off on Tumi purchases at eBags.com by stacking a few deals!
The Deal
- Tumi is currently offering 20% off a number of their products as a part of a limited-time sale event. This promotion is available through Tumi directly as well as most of the online retailers that sell their products, including eBags.com. Many of the products I looked at are up to 28% off.
- TopCashBack is offering 28% cash back on Tumi purchases at eBags.com for a limited time. First, click through the TopCashBack portal on your way to eBags to make your purchase (offer ends Sunday, Sept. 22).
- Combining these two deals will net you over 50% off Tumi items that are part of their semi-annual sale.

Our Analysis
Let me give you an example of just how this works.
The Tumi V4 International Expandable 4 Wheeled Carry-On normally sells for $595. Through the current eBags sale, the price on eBags.com goes down to $428.40. When you stack the 28% cash back offer from TopCashBack, the price of the bag now drops to $308.45, almost 52% less than the original retail price, once you receive the cashback distribution.
It is worth noting that TopCashBack doesn't pay this rebate out immediately. You may have to wait as long as 12 weeks to receive the 28% rebate. At this time, you can recieve the distribution via PayPal, ACH direct deposit (if you have a US Bank Account) or a prepaid gift card.
Bottom Line
Tumi is widely regarded as one of the best luggage brands as their products have a great reputation for being both durable and stylish. They also offer good warranties on most of their products for things like wheels, zippers & handles. The handle on my bag recently broke and I brought it into the Tumi store. It was replaced within 10 minutes, no questions asked.
When buying luggage, it can pay to make an investment. Being cheap can end up being more expensive in the long run. While the price of Tumi luggage isn't for everyone, picking their bags up for almost half off should make it easier to stomach.
