Sending your Chase points from cards like the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card or the Chase Sapphire Reserve® straight to one of Chase's transfer partners is one of the best ways to use them, especially when you can earn bonus miles in the process.
Chase just rolled out a brand new bonus of up to 25% when transferring points to Air Canada Aeroplan. Best of all, you've got until early next year to take advantage of this new offer: This bonus ends on Jan. 5, 2026!
Exactly how big of bonus you'll get depends on how many points you transfer – the more you transfer, the bigger your bonus. Here's how it shakes out:
- 15% Bonus: A single transfer of 1,000 to 74,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards
- 20% Bonus: A single transfer of 75,000 to 174,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards
- 25% Bonus: A single transfer 175,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards or more

Got an *aeroplan card* in your wallet, too? It gets even better: So long as you transfer at least 50,000 Chase points, Aeroplan will tack on an extra 10% bonus for Aeroplan cardholders (a maximum of 25,000 bonus points each year). That means a 50,000-point transfer would net you a total of 62,500 Aeroplan points. If you transferred 175,000 points, you'd get a 35% boost and end up with 236,250 points.
Aeroplan is one of the best mileage programs on the planet – and not just to fly Air Canada. Thanks to Aeroplan's more than 50 airline partners, you can use their miles to get nearly anywhere on the globe – and this tiered bonus makes it more affordable than ever!
Think of transfer bonuses as an easy way to get some free miles … and who would say no to that – especially to an airline partner as strong as Aeroplan? But keep in mind that these transfers are a one-way street: Once you send them to an airline or hotel, you can't get them back to your Chase account. For that reason, you shouldn't transfer points without a specific purpose in mind, even with a bonus like this one.
Lucky for you, there are some great ways to put Aeroplan points to use. Let's take a look.
See our roundup of all the current transfer bonuses to get more value for your points and miles!
Best Ways to Redeem Air Canada Aeroplan Points
We could go on and on and on about all the great ways to use Aeroplan points and maximize this transfer bonus.
It's one of the most powerful and versatile airline programs in the world, allowing you to book flights on dozens of Star Alliance partners as well as a growing array of other partner airlines including Etihad, Oman Air, Gulf Air, and many more. Plus, you can add stopovers to almost any award ticket for just 5,000 additional points.
This list could be much longer, but here are a few sweet spots that get even sweeter thanks to this tiered transfer bonus.

Roundtrip Flights to Hawaii for 25K Points
Most airline award charts treat Hawaii separately from the mainland. Not Aeroplan. And that opens a massive sweet spot.
Still, due to Aeroplan's distance-based pricing model, you'll want to start from the West Coast where flights are shorter. So your best bet is looking for flights from Los Angeles (LAX) or San Francisco (SFO) flying United Airlines where you can book a one-way flight for just 15,000 miles in economy – roughly half of what United itself would normally charge. Factor in the 15% transfer bonus at this tier, and you can book roundtrip flights to Hawaii using just 27,000 Chase points.

Great Business Class Awards to Europe
With reasonable rates and low fees, Aeroplan is one of the best ways to book lie-flat business class seats to Europe.
In some cases, you'll pay just 60,000 Aeroplan points each way. Some longer flights clock in at 70,000 miles each way, while starting from the West Coast can run you as much as 85,000 points each way.
Factor in that same 15% bonus, and you can score a business class flight to Europe for just 53,000 Chase points. If you're planning to bring a friend, the deal gets even sweeter: Since you'd need a total of 120,000 Aeroplan points to book a pair of business class seats, you'd qualify for the bigger 20% bonus – just 100,000 Chase points in total!
Just know: If you're looking to fly United to Europe with your Aeroplan points, it'll cost a bit more. Air Canada recently raised rates on United awards to 80,000 miles in business class, matching what United charges using its own MileagePlus miles.
But with all of Air Canada's partner airlines, you've got tons of options to fly Swiss business class, Lufthansa business class, United Polaris (at a steeper cost), or even Turkish Airlines business class. This bonus makes Aeroplan one of the best ways to book them all.

ANA Business Class to Tokyo & Other Asia Deals
Somehow, a flight to Japan in business class can be even cheaper than Europe using Aeroplan miles.
The trick is flying from either Seattle (SEA) or Vancouver (YVR), where the shorter flights price out cheaper thanks to Aeroplan's distance-based methods. Those flights clock in at just 55,000 Aeroplan points each way in ANA business class – meaning just 48,000 Chase points is all you need to make it happen with a 15% bonus. Again, booking for two (or roundtrip) will drop the price per ticket even more, thanks to the bigger 20% bonus.
Starting from other cities like Chicago-O'Hare (ORD), New York City (JFK), or Los Angeles (LAX) will clock in at 75,000 points each way – but that's still a solid deal considering you'd only need to transfer 63,000 Chase points to book.
But no matter where you're flying from, finding ANA business class award space can be a chore – especially if you're hoping to fly the airline's outstanding new seats dubbed “The Room.” These days, you'll typically only find seats within three weeks (or less) of departure.
Otherwise, you can book flights down to destinations throughout Southeast Asia on airlines like EVA Air for just 87,500 points in business class – just 73,000 Chase points after factoring in a 20% bonus. How does a trip to Thailand or Bali sound?
Short-Haul Domestic Economy Flights
Short-haul flights under 500 miles will cost 10,000 Aeroplan points, no matter if you're actually flying with Air Canada or a partner like United. That's a small but lucrative sweet spot.
This can be a great way to book short United Airlines flights as they will cost just 20,000 roundtrip, or just 18,000 Chase points with a 15% bonus.
How to Transfer Points to Aeroplan
Before the “where” and “why,” let's cover the “how” – as in, how can you transfer Chase points to Aeroplan and get this bonus? It's easy, and it works just like every other Chase transfer partner.
For starters, make sure to sign up for a free Aeroplan account if you don't have one already. From there, you’ll need to log in to your Chase account and navigate to your Ultimate Rewards portal. Once you’ve done that, head to the “Transfer points to partners” page pictured below.
From there, scroll down and select Aeroplan from the list of more than a dozen options. You'll need to enter your Aeroplan account information if you haven't done so already. Once that's done, you can enter how many Chase points you'd like to transfer to Aeroplan.
Unfortunately, Chase doesn't automatically calculate how many points you'll get after factoring in this tiered bonus. You'll need to multiply the points you've got by 1.15, 1.2, or 1.25, depending on the number of points you're transferring.
For example, 100,000 x 1.2 = 120,000 Aeroplan points – just enough for two one-way business class tickets to Europe with a partner like SWISS of Lufthansa.
Chase transfers to Aeroplan are typically instant – and the bonus miles should hit your account instantly, too. Keep in mind, this bonus is even better for those with an *aeroplan card* and the 10% bonus on Chase Ultimate Rewards transfers.

Bottom Line
Whether you're looking to fly a short domestic flight or a long-haul business class flight to Asia, Aeroplan has some of the best award pricing of any loyalty program … and this up to 25% bonus just makes it even better.
If you've got a use for Aeroplan points (and trust us, you do), be sure to make your transfer before this bonus ends on Jan. 5, 2026!

Are the points transfer from Chase to AEROPLAN only good for CHASE ULTIMATE REWARDS POINTS ?
or can I also use CHASE IHG POINTS ?
Hi John, the current Aeroplan transfer bonus will only work if you’ve got Ultimate Rewards (not IHG points).
Almost 6 hours no miles or bonus transferred yet. 🙁
@Bruce Y… how long until the points appeared?? My chase is stuck still too….
Data point YMMV. Base point transfer for me took 2 days. Not instant. Bonus points arrived after 4 days. I did a separate transfer using MR points on day 3 to lock down my booking and that was instant.
Transfer is instant. The bonus is NOT instant. Chase says it should be within 7 days. Bad service.
