Get 50% Off Singapore Airlines Awards! Business Class for Just 46.5K Miles
Singapore Airlines is out with one of its best promotions ever, deeply discounting award rates on routes from the U.S. to Singapore or Europe by 50% or more. And you can save in economy, premium economy, and even business class.
This is Singapore’s latest monthly “Spontaneous Escapes” promotion, and it’s easily one of the best in recent memory. For starters, you can fly from San Francisco (SFO) to Singapore (SIN) in business class for just 46,550 miles each way. After a price hike last year, those flights normally cost 95,000 miles each way. That makes this a 50%-plus discount and an absolute steal for that long journey.
There are other great routes from the U.S. on sale, too – not to mention others around the world, so be sure to scope out the full list of discounted routes. Here are some highlights:
- San Francisco (SFO) to Singapore (SIN) or vice versa: 18,620 miles in economy, 46,550 miles in business class each way
- San Francisco (SFO) to Hong Kong (HKG) or vice versa: 16,170 miles in economy, 43,610 miles in business class each way
- Houston (IAH) to Manchester (MAN) or vice versa: 11,025 miles in economy, 23,030 miles in premium economy each way
- New York City (JFK) to Frankfurt (FRA) or vice versa: 11,025 miles in economy, 33,320 miles in premium economy each way
- Houston (IAH) to Singapore (SIN) or vice versa: 35,770 miles in premium economy each way
But you’ll want to hurry, as these rates are only available through Jan. 31 for travel from Feb. 1 through Feb. 29. And while you’ve technically got until the end of January to book, you may want to hurry – award space at these rates may disappear fast.
Thrifty Tip: Log in to your Singapore KrisFlyer account and start searching to “redeem flights.” The initial search results won’t display these discounted rates, but eligible flights will reprice after you select them.
This is one of the best Spontaneous Escapes promotions we’ve ever seen from Singapore Airlines. And while you’ve so book soon and start making your plans to explore Singapore – or elsewhere!
Singapore Airlines’ business class is on many travelers’ bucket lists for a reason. The cabins are gorgeous, the seats are insanely spacious, and the food is incredible. There may be no better way to cross the Pacific Ocean than with a 28-inch wide seat that converts into a full bed.

Even in economy, Singapore is outstanding. It regularly wins awards as one of the best economy seats in the world.
Getting Singapore Airlines Miles
If you’re thinking to yourself “If only I had a stash of Singapore miles,” don’t worry. There’s an easy way to get a boatload of them.
Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles are some of the easiest in the world to collect. If you’ve got points with Chase, American Express, Citi, Marriott, or Capital One, you’re set. All five currencies can be transferred directly to your Singapore account.
Consider cards like the Chase Sapphire Preferred. With a 60,000 point bonus after spending $4,000 in the first three months, you’d have nearly enough to book a one-way flight in business class to Los Angeles. That big bonus and the ability to transfer to airlines like Singapore are why we consider it the best card for getting started in miles and points.

Or check out the Platinum Card from American Express card. Its $550 annual fee means it isn’t for everyone. But a rich set of benefits can more than offset that fee, including unbeatable lounge access, $100 for a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck enrollment, $200 in travel credits, and another $200 in free Uber rides. The standard, 60,000-point welcome bonus is good as it is. But see if you’re eligible for an outstanding 100,000-point bonus!

Of course, it’s too late to open a new credit card for the purposes of getting in on this promotion. But if you’ve got any of these cards – or want to get on the next discounted sale – this is the way to go.
Flying Singapore’s business class is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and any flight with Singapore is a treat. But flying one of the world’s best business class for less than 50,000 miles each way is a deal. Don’t sleep on this sale.
