With an (overcrowded but soon-to-expand) Centurion Lounge, an excellent Capital One Lounge, and plenty of other airline-run and Priority Pass options, Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) is easily one of the best airports in the country for lounges. Add another one to the list.

This week, Chase officially opened another Sapphire Lounge in the Texas mega-hub. This 18,000-square-foot space is located in Terminal D near gate D25 – just a stone's throw from the competition: Amex, Capital One, and other lounges. Chase's new space features a dedicated whiskey lounge as well as another bar, some Texas flourishes as well as all the usual signature touches that make Sapphire Lounges excellent: stylish decor, solid meals you can order to your table via QR code, and more.

The lounge is open daily from 5 a.m. until 10 p.m.

This marks Chase's 10th Sapphire Lounge location – a rapid buildout for a company that first got into the lounge game just three years ago. And this one has been in the works for a while: Chase first started working towards a Dallas location way back in early 2023.

The Dallas lounge follows the opening of the Las Vegas (LAS) outpost earlier this year, Philadelphia (PHL) last year, and both Phoenix (PHX) and San Diego (SAN) the year prior. But in Dallas, Chase upped the ante with one of the biggest lounges in its network.

We haven't visited yet, but it looks spectacular.

Aside from that first-of-its-kind whiskey lounge with a dedicated tasting menu and a special Old Fashioned (all of which I absolutely need to try … you know, for science), there are a handful of other touches and amenities that stand out, including:

  • A small grab-and-go food station near the front of the lounge
  • 30-minute complimentary facial treatments from Face Haus
  • Dedicated family and nursing rooms
  • Just one shower suite, available near the spa area

How to Get in

The lounge sits near Gate D25 in Terminal D of the gargantuan Fort Worth airport. But fear not: Dallas's handy Skylink train connects each and every terminal, meaning you can easily get to this lounge, no matter your departing gate … without needing to worry about re-clearing security.

Once travelers find this new space, getting in is a whole other matter – Chase Sapphire lounges are among the most restrictive in the country. Here are the ways to get access:

  • Chase's top-tier travel rewards credit card – the *chase sapphire reserve* – is practically a must. Sapphire Reserve cardholders get unlimited complimentary access to the Sapphire Lounges – and can also bring up to two guests free of charge.
  • The Ritz-Carlton Card is another solid option with the same access policies as the Sapphire Reserve, but that card is no longer open for applications: You'll have to upgrade from another Chase Marriott card.
  • If you have a Priority Pass membership from non-Chase cards like *amex platinum* or the *venture x*, you'll get one free visit to Chase Sapphire Lounges (including U.S. locations) each calendar year – and not each location, but one total.
    • Afterwards, it'll cost $75 per visit with no guest access.
    • Just don't count on waltzing in with Priority Pass from one of these cards: Chase routinely restricts entry to ensure there's space for its own cardholders
  • Everyday travelers can pay $100 for a day pass, space permitting.

Just be warned: No matter how you enter the lounge, you can only get in three hours before your scheduled departure unless you're on a layover.

Bottom Line

As the saying goes, “everything's bigger in Texas” … and Chase's newest Sapphire Lounge – an 18,000-square-foot space at DFW, complete with its own whiskey bar – is no exception.

It's the bank's 10th lounge in total – and from the look of things, one of its best yet.
