Booking Delta One business class using miles has gotten exorbitantly expensive over the years. The airline typically charges 300,000 SkyMiles or more each way for a flight to Europe and beyond while workarounds to book for as few as 50,000 points have been eliminated – and finding award availability to book through any of those partner programs has gotten harder and harder.
But something has changed. Over the last few days, we've unearthed an unprecedented amount of award space to book deeply discounted Delta One seats for a fraction of the miles Delta is charging over to Europe (including this summer), down to South America, and even all the way to Asia. After going months without seeing a single Delta deal like these, we've sent four of them to our Thrifty Traveler Premium members … just since Friday! Much of the award space has been gobbled up – especially as other travel sites eventually caught onto these incredible deals – but there are still some seats available.
In every instance, the best bet is to book through Air France/KLM Flying Blue. While you can't turn SkyMiles into Air France miles, you can transfer credit card points from all the major banks like Chase, American Express, Capital One, and especially Citi thanks to a current 20% transfer bonus to Flying Blue.
It's been a real murderer's row of lie-flat Delta deals lately, including:
- Delta One Suites from Seattle (SEA) to Tokyo-Haneda bookable for just 89,000 miles each way
- Lie-flat seats to Italy, Portugal, and Spain for as low as 60,000 miles each way, even this summer
- Another round of summer Delta One deals to Europe – this time to cities throughout Germany as well as Ireland, Scotland, and England – for as low as 48,000 points
- And Delta One seats down to South America for as low as 50,000 points each way!
Why fork over more than 265,000 SkyMiles for this flight from Boston (BOS) to Edinburgh (EDI) in September…
… when you can book that exact same flight for just 57,000 miles via Air France instead? Heck, you can even choose between transferring 200,000-plus Amex Membership Rewards points from a card like the *amex gold* to Delta SkjyMiles … or transfer less than a quarter of that sum to Air France instead.
Same goes for the long flight from Atlanta (ATL) all the way down to Santiago (SCL) in Chile. Delta is charging more than 250,000 SkyMiles each way for a ride in a Delta One Suite next winter – Chile's summer.
But that exact same flight is currently bookable for under 88,000 Air France/KLM Flying Blue miles – nearly a third of what Delta is charging in SkyMiles!
From Europe to South America to Japan, finding the availability to book Delta business class for fewer Flying Blue miles can still be hit or miss. But there are seats bookable at these lower rates than we've seen in years – particularly to Europe this summer and South America through 2025 and into 2026. Availability to book Delta's nonstop from Seattle (SEA) to Tokyo-Haneda (HND) has more or less vanished since we first found it last week.
With rates under routinely under 80,000 miles each way – and even less if you can take advantage of Citi's transfer bonus to Flying Blue – this is the best way you'll find to book Delta One, period. We occasionally see deeply discounted Delta SkyMiles flash sales for business class, but those are few and far between … and even so, those rates typically bottom out
In this case, it's wide open to book for 60,000 miles, 70,000 miles, or 80,000 miles each way. You can't beat that.
While many of these routes are operated on Delta's older aircraft with an outdated business class cabin, there are plenty to pick from on either an Airbus A350-900 or Airbus A330-900neo – both decked out with Delta One suites onboard!
Departing from New York City or Boston, you'll even get access to the airline's stellar Delta One Lounge exclusively for business class passengers.

You won't find availability via Air France/KLM Flying Blue on each and every day – and some of the best availability has been gobbled up already. Still, there are plenty of seats out there if you're willing to put in some effort to book for a fraction of the miles.
So don't transfer your credit card points just yet – you'll want to confirm there's award availability first.
How to Book
You'll get the best rate by booking these Delta flights through Air France/KLM. But that's not where to start.
Instead, your first stop should be searching at VirginAtlantic.com. Unfortunately, that airline's new interface means you can no longer pull up a monthlong calendar, so it will require some trial and error. You'll need to create a free Flying Club account in order to search for award tickets, too.
For example, let's search for a flight from Boston to Lisbon, where we initially found solid availability this summer and into early 2026. A search for mid-July turns up empty for business class awards on the Delta nonstop.
From there, you can click from date to date to see if anything turns up. Eureka: A flight on July 26 returns with a hit! Don't worry: That 57,500 mile rate – plus a nasty $1,000-plus surcharge is not what we care about.
Because that Delta One award is bookable through Virgin, it should also be available through Air France/KLM Flying Blue. So head over to AirFrance.com, log into your Flying Blue account, and run the same search for a one-way award in business class from Boston to Lisbon on July 26.
There it is: The exact same Delta One award ticket bookable for 59,000 Air France miles and just $33 in taxes and fees!
Then – and only then – you can transfer your credit card points over to Flying Blue and book. Just beware that Air France and KLM's sites are notoriously buggy: You might need to try booking your flights using the airline's app or even calling Flying Blue (at 800-375-8723) in order to get it to go through.
Bottom Line
Delta One deals don't get better than this.
In the last few days alone, we've found hundreds of Delta One seats to Europe and South America bookable through Air France/KLM Flying Blue – at a fraction of the SkyMiles Delta itself is charging. Those miles are even easier to earn by transferring credit card points from all the major banks.
While some of the availability has gotten gobbled up since we first sent these deals to our members, there are still plenty of seats out there. Don't wait!
