American Express has added an excellent new offer for upcoming Hilton hotel stays. Spend $300 or more at Hilton, Curio, or Canopy hotels to earn 5,000 bonus American Express Membership Rewards points.

You have to complete your stay by June 30 to earn this one-time bonus, as first reported by One Mile at a Time. And only U.S. Hilton properties are eligible. Other Hilton brands like Waldorf Astoria, Conrad, and DoubleTree don't make the cut.

This offer seems to be widely available, but it may be targeted. Just log in to your Amex account to see if it's available.

As with all Amex offers, you can reach the spending requirement over multiple transactions. There is no requirement you spend the full $300 at once. Just add the offer to your card and rack up at least $300 at eligible Hilton properties by June 30.

Where to Find Amex Offers

If you haven’t used Amex Offers before, simply log into your American Express account and scroll down near the bottom of the screen and there should be a box called Amex Offers & Benefits (this is available through the Amex mobile app as well). If you see an offer you like, simply add the offer to the card and make a qualifying purchase at that business with your card. You should receive a statement credit for the offer within a few days of making a purchase.

Bottom Line

Amex Offers like this one just sweeten the deal of holding cards like the Platinum Card from American Express or the American Express Gold Card. It's an easy way to save extra cash – or earn bonus points – on the spending you'd be doing anyhow. And that can make it much easier to justify paying an annual fee on one of these cards.
