Capital One is partnering with the ski-and-adventure social club Gravity Haus to give their cardholders some benefits on the ski hill.
Capital One announced Thursday a new, multi-year partnership with Gravity Haus, giving cardholders a $300 discount toward their memberships that unlock discounted hotel stays near prime ski resorts, exclusive events, and even deals on ski and snowboard gear. And many Capital One cards are eligible, from the top-of-the-line Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card to the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card to even the no-annual-fee Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card.
This two-year partnership kicks off today, Jan. 20, 2022, and runs through Jan. 19, 2024. Let's take a look at what you get.
What is Gravity Haus?
Gravity Haus bills itself as a social club with hotel and lodging options in Breckenridge, Vail, and Winter Park, Colorado, as well as hotel partners in places like Nosara, Costa Rica; Denver, Colorado; Silverton, Colorado; Telluride, Colorado; and Truckee, California (near Lake Tahoe).
Gravity Haus touts the following membership benefits:
- “Quiver” program, giving members discounted access to ski and snowboard gear
- Member events ranging from yoga sessions to backcountry hut ski touring adventures, to cooking classes
- Fitness classes
- Co-working spaces at all of their properties
Memberships at Gravity Haus start at $70 per month for their Explorer level of membership, and offer up to 50% off Gravity Haus hotel stays, free workout class visits, and exclusive access to the member events. This new partnership with Capital One decreases that cost substantially.
Capital One Venture Cardmember Benefits
According to the joint announcement from Capital One and Gravity Haus, Capital One Venture X, Venture, and VentureOne credit cardholders will receive a $300 discount toward an annual membership, access to the exclusive outdoor excursion benefits, and the ability to earn 10x miles with on Gravity Haus bookings through the Capital One Travel portal by enrolling at gravityhaus.com/capital-one.
The $300 discount for first-time Gravity Haus members and Capital One cardholders brings the $840 annual membership cost down to $540 – or $45 a month instead of $70.
In addition to that discount, Capital One cardholders will get access to some excursion packages like a freestyle and mogul skiing clinic in Winter Park, a backcountry skiing adventure and overnight stay in Vail, and a white-water rafting excursion on the Arkansas River. Those events are available regardless of if cardholders join up with Gravity Haus.
To help kick off the new partnership, Capital One is hosting the Venture X Haus at Breckenridge, Colorado in February. Over two different weekends (Feb. 11-13 and Feb. 18-21 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day), the partners will hold a pop-up near Gravity Haus's Breckenridge property just below the Quicksilver lift at the resort.
What Capital One Credit Cards Apply?
If you hold a card that earns Venture miles, you are eligible for the $300 discount through this new partnership.
That list includes the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card, the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card, and the Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card.
