Using American AAdvantage miles has long been the go-to way to book Etihad award flights. But with this sale, transferring whatever points you've got to Etihad is likely much better. You won't get this great discount using miles from partner programs like American, Aeroplan, or others.
And it's worth locking in these low rates for future travel as Etihad has waived all fees to change the dates of your award tickets. Otherwise, you can fork over 10% of the miles you used to cancel your ticket and get your miles back. Etihad currently requires all travelers to provide a negative PCR test before flights to Abu Dhabi.

Apartments from New York to Abu Dhabi for 96,000 miles
Flights between New York City (JFK) and Abu Dhabi (AUH) in the Apartments typically cost 136,000 miles and change. With this sale, you can book for under 96,000 miles – plus about $255 in fees.
For comparison, both American and Aeroplan would charge 115,000 miles for these same flights. One important note: You won't find one-way availability from New York City to Abu Dhabi. Fly the Apartments to/from Europe for 55,000 Miles!
One of the best budget plays to score your own Apartment is flying between Abu Dhabi and Europe – especially Paris.
You can score a one-way first class flight from Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) to Abu Dhabi for just over 55,000 Etihad miles, plus some unavoidable taxes and fees. Those awards normally cost nearly 80,000 Etihad miles.
Flights between London-Heathrow (LHR) and Abu Dhabi, meanwhile, have dropped to about 57,000 miles (with some even higher cash fees).
Budget Business Class
You'll find big savings for Etihad's business class cabins, too.
Flying between New York and the Middle East is an option, of course. But you should also look for flights on Etihad's Boeing 787s, which has the airline's newest business class seats.
With flights as low as 70,000 miles each way with this discount, it's a pretty darn good deal – especially considering you can transfer points from banks like American Express and Capital One, among others.
