Our Analysis
The 35% rebate on redemptions for your selected airline is my favorite benefit the card offers as it really allows you to stretch the value of your Membership Rewards points; especially if you often travel with the same airline.
If you are a regular business traveler, this card offers airport lounge access that is unmatched by any other card. This is one of the best ways we know of to drastically improve your travel experience and reducing your costs inside the airport.
Additionally, the $400 Dell credit is a nice benefit and it isn't hard to take advantage of. Dell sells lots of products outside of the Dell brand that should be of interest to travelers.
Starting July 1, Business Platinum cardholders will instead earn an annual $150 statement credit when making purchases directly through Dell's U.S. website – plus, you can earn an additional $1,000 statement credit after spending $5,000 or more.
And last but not least, there's the 150,000-point welcome bonus after you spend $20,000 in the first three months of card membership. American Express Membership Rewards points are some of the most valuable points in travel.
Bottom Line
It's a card geared toward business owners and the spending requirement is relatively large, so this card isn't for everyone. But if your business can easily spend this kind of cash, the offer is excellent.
I love *biz platinum* for the unique benefits it provides. Few cards will improve your travels more than the Platinum Card from American Express will.
