American Express has added a great new offer for stays at Marriott hotels. Spend $250 or more on a Marriott hotel stay and get $50 back.

The Marriott Amex offer is a one-time statement credit which must be used by April 15, 2020. And it looks to be pretty widely available as I was able to pull it up on most of my American Express cards, however, the offer is targeted so it won’t be available for all users.

This promotion is valid for Marriott stays within the U.S. and U.S. territories and excludes the following Marriott brands:

Marriott Vacation Club, Design Hotels, Protea Hotels, Marriott Executive Apartments, Homes & Villas by Marriott International, and Vistana Signature Experiences.

And as with all Amex offers, you can reach the spending requirement over multiple transactions. There is no requirement you spend the full $250 at once.

Where to Find Amex Offers

If you haven’t used Amex Offers before, simply log into your American Express account and scroll down near the bottom of the screen and there should be a box called Amex Offers & Benefits (this is available through the Amex mobile app as well). If you see an offer you like, simply add the offer to the card and make a qualifying purchase at that business with your card. You should receive a statement credit for the offer within a few days of making a purchase.

Bottom Line

I’m a fan of Amex offers because they’re basically free money for spending I am going to do anyhow. It’s also another way to justify the cost of a credit card annual fee. Make sure to check your various American Express credit cards because each one can have different offers.

However, it looks like this Marriott Amex offer is pretty widely available. These offers change almost daily, so add this one now before it disappears.
