Breaking Down the Quarterfinals
Can you believe these upsets? Let's check out the results from yesterday's votes!
Croatia's Plitvice Lakes took on Giant's Causeway of Ireland and knocked them out of the competition! Plitvice Lakes advances to the semifinals after beating the Irish treasure by more than 200 votes.
We say goodbye to stunning Iguazu Falls: they were trampled by fanatic voters for the Great Barrier Reef. Who else is completely shocked by this?
Similarly, Mt. Fuji was no match for Banff National Park, which won nearly three times the votes. It's clear that Banff is a traveler favorite!
And finally, the matchup between China's Avatar Mountains (Zhangjiajie) and Glacier National Park was a very close one. But Glacier was able to squeak through to the semifinals by just 100 votes. I'm sad to see my top pick go, but the people have spoken!
