Calling all members of the BeyHive!
Beyoncé officially announced her Renaissance World Tour Wednesday morning, which kicks off in early May in Stockholm, Sweden.
There are several presale ticket options for Beyoncé's upcoming tour, and if you're a Citi cardholder, you could get access purchase tickets for the North American stops even earlier through the Citi Entertainment platform.
Upon completing the Verified Fan process, which is now open for registration, existing and new Citi credit and debit card members may have the opportunity to access the Citi ticket presale.
The presales will happen in three waves with the first starting on Tuesday, Feb. 7.
- Wave 1: Citi cardmember presale begins Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 10:00 a.m. local time until Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 6:00 p.m. local time for Atlanta, Chicago, East Rutherford, Houston, Inglewood, Las Vegas, Toronto, Vancouver, and Washington DC.
- Wave 2: Citi cardmember presale begins Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 10:00 a.m. local time until Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 6:00 p.m. local time for Boston, Dallas, Miami, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Seattle, and Tampa.
- Wave 3: Citi cardmember presale begins Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 10:00 a.m. local time until Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 6:00 p.m. local time in Charlotte, Detroit, Kansas City, Louisville, Nashville, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, and St. Louis.
How to Register for Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour Ticket Presale
Start by visiting the Citi Entertainment website to see which shows are participating in the Citi presale. Clicking any of the links on the page will take you to the ticketing website to complete the Verified Fan registration process.
You'll need to have your Citi credit or debit card linked to your Ticketmaster account in order to be eligible to sign up for the Citi presale. At some point, you'll also need to use the first six digits of your Citi card as a passcode to search for tickets.
Registration is open now, and the deadline to register depends on which concert you want to attend. For example, if you're looking to go to the Minneapolis show on July 20, you have through next Thursday, Feb. 9 to register for access to the presale.
That doesn't mean you'll be able to purchase tickets, however. According to the Citi Entertainment website, if you're invited to the presale, you'll get an access code the night before inviting you to shop for tickets. And once you've secured your tickets, you must use your Citi card to complete the purchase.
Citi has also stated there will be a virtual waiting room during the presale itself, which should help control the volume of people who are actually choosing tickets.
What Citi Cards are Eligible for the Beyonce Tour Ticket Presale?
Citi says those with certain Citi credit or debit cards will be eligible for access to the Citi ticket presale. That list includes all existing Citi personal credit cards as well as existing Citi personal debit cards.
Notably, Citi's small-business debit and credit cards are not eligible for the presale.
That means if you've got a card like the Citi Premier® Card, the Citi® Double Cash Card, or even the Citi / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World Elite Mastercard® you're set.
If you don't currently have an eligible Citi card, Citi says new applicants will still be able to gain access to presale tickets. That's due to Citi allowing you to apply and receive a virtual card number right away upon application approval for certain cards.
This includes the Citi Custom Cash℠ Card, the Citi Rewards+® Card, the Citi Simplicity® Card, and the Citi® Diamond Preferred® Card. All of these cards also do not charge an annual fee.
As long as you are approved, you'll be presented with an option to “Get Card Number Today” which provides you with a virtual credit card number that will work for the presale. But you'll only have access to this information once before your physical card arrives in the mail, so make sure you save it or write it down.
Bottom Line
Beyoncé officially announced her upcoming Renaissance World Tour, and tickets for the long-anticipated world tour are expected to be hard to get.
If you're a Citi cardholder, you're in luck. There will be an exclusive Citi presale for Citi cardholders to get first dibs on tickets for the North American stops on Beyoncé's upcoming tour, and registration to access the presale is already open.
