We haven't personally stayed at the Fushifaru Maldives, but it's a five-star property and the reviews are almost uniformly excellent. It's a relatively small resort with just 61 villas total, which will make a Maldivian escape feel even more secluded – especially if you head out to the private sand bar. And while we haven't stayed at this property, we've had great luck with other refundable packages through Travelzoo.
Plus, these packages add up to at least $1,500 in savings … if not substantially more, as your package will cover the otherwise hefty taxes and fees. The one big expense that's not included is the unavoidable seaplane transfer fee to get from Male (MLE) to the resort: $470 per adult and $282 for children 2-11 years old. You can extend your stay beyond the five-night voucher starting at another $299 per night.
The one catch is that you'll get hit with a $200 nightly surcharge for stays during some of the peak periods: Oct. 1 through Dec. 23, 2022; Jan. 10 through March 31, 2023; and from Oct. 1 through Dec. 23, 2023.
