Fairmont's new “Stay Close” promo gets you every second night free. This promo is now available at 21 properties in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, including a Swissotel property in Chicago. You need to book by mid-June or mid-July, depending on the property. But the BOGO deal is valid for stays through the end of the year!
Unfortunately, the Canadian border is still closed to U.S. tourists until July 21 – and that could get extended. But you could hedge your bets and plan a trip to Victoria, Vancouver, Montreal, or Mont Tremblant for later in 2020, using this BOGO offer to stay at Fairmont for cheaper.

Many hotels have updated their cancellation policies due to COVID-19 and are offering guests more flexibility. The cancellation policies for Fairmont vary from hotel to hotel, but many allow cancellation with no penalty up to a certain time before your arrival date.
To find the cancellation policy for a specific hotel you'll have to search for a room and then click on the Room Rate Summary. You can then view the cancellation policy for that specific room.
In this case, you would be able to cancel up to one week before arrival.
