The Thrifty Traveler Premium referral program allows Premium members to earn credit toward future membership renewals by referring friends to become new subscribers to Thrifty Traveler Premium. To participate, members must agree to these terms.
How to Earn Referral Credits
Members can earn credits if a referred friend clicks on their referral link to create a valid Thrifty Traveler Premium membership. The referring Member will be credited with the credit amount(s) specified in the Member’s Premium Settings or accompanying promotional materials. There is no limit on the number of credits one Member can earn.
A referred friend receives the referrer’s link to subscribe at a discounted membership price. The referred friend must subscribe to Thrifty Traveler Premium annual membership for the referring Member to earn a credit. If the referred friend cancels their membership within the 100-day money-back guarantee period, the credit to the referring Member will be revoked.
For each referred friend that subscribes to Thrifty Traveler Premium, the referring Member will receive a credit applied to their account. This credit is good towards their next annual membership renewal. The credit has no cash value and cannot be paid out if the membership is canceled before the credit is applied.
Members who were gifted one year of membership via the Gift of Premium program are not eligible for the referral program.
Applied Credits
Credits earned will automatically be applied to a Member’s next Thrifty Traveler Premium membership renewal cost. If credits earned exceed the cost of the annual membership, credits will roll over and apply to the following year’s membership. Credits are coupons issued for promotional purposes; they have no cash value and may not be transferred or exchanged for cash.
Members can view the status of their membership credits by logging into their Premium account under the “Refer a Friend” tab. If for any reason you believe that there is a discrepancy regarding your balance of Credits, please contact us at [email protected]. All decisions regarding your balance will be final and at Thrifty Traveler’s sole discretion.
Sharing Referral Links
Referrals should only be used for personal and non-commercial purposes. Members are prohibited from “spamming” emails or paying to advertise their referral links in any form.
Multiple Referrals
A referred friend may only use one referral link. If a referred friend receives referral links from multiple Members, only the Member associated with the referral link that is used by the referred friend to successfully subscribe will receive credit. A referred friend may not combine referral savings with other Thrifty Traveler referral programs or incentives unless specified.
Termination and Changes
Thrifty Traveler may suspend or terminate the Premium referral program or a user’s ability to participate in it at any time for any reason.
If any provision in these terms are held to be invalid, void, or unenforceable, such provision (or the part of it that is making it invalid, void, or unenforceable) will be struck and not affect the validity of and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
We reserve the right to suspend accounts or remove credits if we notice any activity that we believe is abusive, fraudulent, or in violation of these Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to review and investigate all referral activities and to suspend accounts or modify referrals in our sole discretion as deemed fair and appropriate.
The scope, variety, and type of services and products that you may obtain by redeeming credits can change at any time.
Updates to the Terms
We can update these terms at any time without prior notice. Continued participation in the referral program after any modification shall constitute consent to such modification.
