First, it made paying rent rewarding. Next year, Bilt will do the same for your mortgage.
Bilt Rewards announced Tuesday that it'll begin allowing homeowners to earn Bilt points on their monthly mortgage payments starting sometime in early 2026. When that launches, it'll be available to homeowners with United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) – the nation’s largest mortgage lender – thanks to a partnership between the two companies.
The company hasn't provided specifics on when this option to earn points on mortgage will go live – nor how many points members can actually earn on those monthly payments. A representative for Bilt said only that additional details will be coming sometime early next year, too.
But homeowners have been waiting for this news for months, ever since Bilt first teased the prospect late last year. If it's anything close to the up to 1x points per dollar spent that travelers with the Bilt Mastercard® can earn (on up to $100,000 points per year, so long as you make at least five purchases each billing period with your card), it could be a windfall of some of the most valuable points in travel.
If this all sounds familiar, it should. Bilt first teased this expansion back in July when it announced plans to break up with Wells Fargo and launch a new, multi-card lineup under what it called “Bilt Card 2.0.” At the time, the company said it was working with UWM to bring rewards to mortgage payments.
While details are scant, that plan is now officially in motion.
“We’ve built Bilt to transform every stage of the housing journey into an opportunity,” said Ankur Jain, founder and CEO of Bilt, said in a statement. “With UWM, we’re completing the circle – they’ll continue earning rewards with every mortgage payment.”
Under the new partnership, UWM borrowers will become the first in the country to earn Bilt Rewards for paying their mortgages, opening the door to:
- Bilt Points for every on-time payment: redeemable with top travel partners like Hyatt, United, Air Canada Aeroplan, and many more.
- Neighborhood Benefits™: a network of more than 40,000 local merchants offering exclusive discounts.
- And a faster, more streamlined mortgage experience through UWM’s broker network.
This new mortgage feature will complete the vision Bilt laid out earlier this year: a single rewards ecosystem that spans rent, mortgages, credit cards, and everyday spending. Between partnerships with major property managers, the ability to earn points on rent payments, and a new three-card lineup launching in 2026, Bilt is positioning itself as the one-stop shop for earning rewards across every stage of homeownership.
Back in July, Bilt also said its long-term goal is to expand beyond UWM to additional mortgage servicers across the country – suggesting this is just the beginning for Bilt Points in the mortgage space.
Bilt’s growth continues to be backed by big, big money. This summer, the company announced a $250 million funding round, putting the company at a $10.75 billion valuation. UWM itself is investing $100 million into Bilt as part of this new partnership.
