Renters and frequent flyers racking up Bilt Rewards have a new way to turn everyday expenses into premium travel: Bilt Rewards officially added Etihad as its newest transfer partner on Tuesday.
Effectively immediately, Bilt members can transfer points to Etihad Guest – the loyalty program of the United Arab Emirates’ airline – at a 1:1 ratio. It’s another addition to Bilt’s fast-growing list of transfer partners, and one that opens the door to luxury travel aboard one of the world’s top-rated airlines. Etihad is Bilt's 22nd transfer partner.
Etihad already partners with several other major transferable currencies, including Amex Membership Rewards, Capital One Miles, and Citi ThankYou Points. That means travelers who already earn rewards through those programs can now add Bilt points to the mix – giving renters yet another path to book Etihad flights, including new business class suites and its vaunted first class Apartments on select routes.
Etihad Guest is a mixed bag as far as mileage programs go. On the one hand, it charges relatively high award rates and hefty surcharges on premium cabin redemptions … alongside a nasty cancellation policy that could have you forfeiting 75% of your miles for scrapping a trip days before departure. On the other hand, it's often the only way to actually book its fancy business and first class cabins as Etihad is stingy with releasing award space to partner airlines like American AAdvantage or Air Canada Aeroplan.

“Etihad Airways joining Bilt gives our members access to one of the world's most luxurious carriers at the perfect moment — right as they're expanding their U.S. presence,” Bilt founder and CEO Ankur Jain said in a statement. “Your monthly rent payments could literally become a first-class ticket to Abu Dhabi and beyond.”
From its Abu Dhabi (AUH) hub, Etihad currently flies to more than 100 destinations worldwide, including routes from Atlanta (ATL), Boston (BOS), Charlotte (CLT), Chicago-O'Hare (ORD), New York City (JFK), and Washington, D.C.-Dulles (IAD). That expansion – plus Etihad’s partnership with American Airlines and its many Oneworld alliance airlines – makes it a strong new addition for travelers looking to stretch their Bilt points for international redemptions.
This marks the latest in a string of new Bilt transfer options in 2025, following the addition of both Japan Airlines and Southwest Airlines earlier this year. With Etihad now in the mix alongside staples like Alaska Airlines and Hyatt, Bilt continues to solidify itself as one of the most valuable rewards programs out there.
