Chase Ultimate Rewards points are some of the most valuable points in the world of travel, and credit cards like the *chase sapphire preferred* and *chase sapphire reserve* are the easiest way to earn them. But if you've got a small business or even have a side hustle, both the *Ink Cash* and the *Ink Unlimited* are worth your attention right now.

If you've already got one of the Chase Sapphire cards, these no-annual-fee Chase Ink business credit cards are among the best options for business owners. Don't think you are eligible to open a business credit card? It's easier than you think – you might be surprised at the answer.

And these two Chase Ink cards should be at the top of the list for any new business credit cards that might be on your shortlist. Let's walk through a few reasons that make these cards stand out.

But before we do that, remember: Credit cards are serious business. You should never apply for a credit card if you’re already in debt, and never charge more to a credit card than you can afford to pay off immediately. That’s especially true when looking at business credit cards, as the spending required to earn a big bonus is often much higher than your personal credit cards.

1. Big Sign-Up Bonuses

Both the *Ink Cash* and the *Ink Unlimited* are out with generous sign-up bonuses.

With the current offers, you can earn up $750 cash back (or 75,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points) with both cards. But exactly how the bonus works will depend on which version of the card you choose.

  • With the *chase ink cash*, it's broken up into two tiers. You can earn $350 (or 35,000 points) after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first three months and an additional $400 (or 40,000 points) after spending $6,000 on purchases in the first six months after account opening.
  • With the *chase ink unlimited* you can earn $750 (or 75,000 points) after you spend $6,000 on purchases in the first three months from account opening.

Considering neither card has an annual fee, it's a pretty incredible offer.

2. Keep Earning Ultimate Rewards Points

Chase Ultimate Rewards points are among the most valuable points in the world and a must-have for travelers in 2023. But once you've earned a big bonus on a Chase Sapphire card, piling up more of these points is tough.

That's where these Ink Business Cards come to shine.

Small business owners who already have a card that earns Chase Ultimate Rewards points like the Chase Sapphire Preferred or even the Chase Sapphire Reserve can keep earning points with the suite of Chase Ink Business credit cards. In fact, it’s easier than ever.

As long as you hold a card that already earns Ultimate Rewards points, you can instantly transfer that $750 cash back into 75,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points to use towards travel.

Sapphire Reserve vs Preferred

That means if you had the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card, these 75,000 points would be worth a minimum of $937.50 toward travel booked through the Chase Travel Portal since each point is worth 1.25 cents each for Preferred cardholders.

If you hold the Chase Sapphire Reserve, the value of those 75,000 points jumps to a minimum of $1,125 towards travel booked through Chase's travel portal, as each point is worth 1.5 cents each for Reserve cardholders.

If you're already holding a Chase Sapphire Card, you won't find a better, quicker way to earn a ton of additional Chase Ultimate Rewards points if you're able to get approved for a Chase business credit card.

3. Earn More Points on Everyday Business Spending

Not sure which Chase Ink Card to pick?

Chase doesn’t restrict you from having both, so that’s an option. And while they offer some of the same benefits, there are other key differences to be aware of between the Ink Cash vs. the Ink Unlimited cards.

Here's a look at the benefits of both cards.

Chase Ink Business Cash Credit Card

  • Welcome Offer: *ink cash bonus*
  • 10% Relationship Bonus: Chase Ink Cash cards opened between March 17 and Nov. 17, 2024, can get a 10% bonus on all rewards earned in the first year (sign-up and referral bonus points are ineligible). In order to be eligible for the one-time bonus you also need to have a Chase Business Checking account open on your cardmember anniversary date.
  • 5x points (5% cash back) on office supply purchases; internet, phone and cable service charges (up to $25,000 in combined spending each account anniversary year).
  • 2x points (2% cash back) at restaurants and gas stations (up to $25,000 in combined spending each account anniversary year).
  • 1x points (1% cash back) on all other eligible spending

As you can see, the benefits on these cards are very similar. The key difference comes in what kind of bonus you’ll earn on certain spending categories.

With the Chase Ink Cash Card, you’ll earn 5% back (5x points) on internet, cable, phone service, and office supply store purchases. You’ll also earn 2% back (2x points) on restaurant and gas station purchases. Those bonus categories are capped to your first $25,000 spent in total on these categories each calendar year. You’ll earn 1% back (1x point) on all other eligible purchases.

With the Chase Ink Unlimited Card, you’ll earn 1.5% back (1.5x points) on all eligible purchases. There is no cap on the amount of spending that will earn 1.5% back each year – thus, the name Ink Unlimited.

Pair them together, or even with the *chase ink preferred*, and you could potentially earn a ton of bonus points (or cash back on your business spending). It really comes down to where your business is spending money.

4. Neither Card Charges an Annual Fee

One of the best benefits of the Chase Ink Business Cash and Unlimited cards is that neither card charges an annual fee. That's almost unheard of for a credit card that offers such a large sign-up bonus.

If you're eligible to open a business credit card, it makes the value of these cards an absolute no-brainer – especially right now with the limited-time increased welcome bonuses.

Generally speaking, earning a big sign-up bonus on a personal or business credit card almost always comes with some sort of annual fee as it is a way for the bank to help offset some of the cost associated with acquiring new customers. Not here: You'll pay zero dollars out of pocket in your first year and each year after that in which you hold either card.

One thing to be aware of is that these cards won't waive foreign transaction fees – a common shortfall of a no-annual-fee credit card. That means you'll want to have another card when you travel abroad.

But when you add it all up, and it is one of the best sign-up bonus offers on a no-annual-fee card, period.

Bottom Line

The current offers on the Chase Ink Cash and Ink Unlimited credit cards allow you to earn up to $750 cashback (or 75,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points).

If you are eligible to open a small business card (and trust us, you might be eligible without knowing it), either card is a fantastic offer and worth your attention right now.

  • Hi Nick,
Our nonprofit business got the Business Unlimited card a little over a year ago. In late 2021, we got the Southwest Chase card; in the middle of 2022 we got an AmEx card.
Can our nonprofit apply for the Business Cash card?

  • In addition to the ability to convert the bonus amount to points, is that option also available for regular cash back $?

    • Yes. Any cash back earned with either card can be turned into transferable Chase Ultimate Rewards points as long as you have a Chase Sapphire or Ink Business Preferred Card.

  • Would I be able to earn the bonus on both cards, assuming I meet the other eligibility requirements? I’ve received the bonus on Ink Unlimited and wondering if it’s worth applying for Ink Cash. Gotta keep stockpiling those UR points! Thank you.

    • You can! Chase doesn’t restrict you from having both. You’ll just need to make sure you are not impacted by the Chase 5/24 rule before you apply for the Ink Cash.

  • just a heads up*** I was just approved for ink unlimited. My wife referred me (40k referral bonus) but the offer through her referral was for 75k sign up bonus (not 90k). I reached out to chase and they agreed to match the 90k offer, bringing the total amount of points to 130k (90k sign up plus 40k referral). Unbelievable sign up bonus if you’re playing two player mode.
