The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card from Chase is offering new cardholders a record-setting 200,000 Marriott Bonvoy points after spending $3,000 in the first three months. But if you’re interested, you’ll need to act fast … like really fast.

This huge new offer ends next Wednesday, Nov. 11, and new cardholders can also earn up to $100 in statement credits on airline purchases.

Marriott and Chase are calling it the card’s largest-ever points offer for new cardmembers. Until it disappears next week, it temporarily replaces the card’s usual welcome offer of three Free Night Awards worth up to 50,000 points each.

That makes this offer at least a third more valuable than the standard bonus, and the format matters even more than the number. You get 200,000 points to spend however you like, rather than certificates that only deliver full value at hotels priced right at their cap.

Let us be clear: We don’t get paid to promote this offer. It’s only available directly through Chase. But we’ve made a promise to readers to give them the best deals, whether or not we profit from it.

Here’s everything you need to know about this huge new offer.

The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Offer at a Glance

  • Welcome bonus: 200,000 points after spending $3,000 on purchases within three months of opening the account. This offer ends on Wednesday, Nov. 11!
  • Airline credit: Up to $100 in statement credits on purchases made directly with airlines, paid out as two $50 credits
  • Annual fee: $95, not waived the first year

The airline statement credit works like a rebate – spend $250 on flights booked directly with an airline by Dec. 31, 2026, and Chase automatically issues a $50 statement credit. If you spend another $250 between Jan. 1 and June 30, 2027, you get a second $50.

New cardholders are registered for this automatically when they activate the card – and if you’re approved before the offer ends on Nov. 11, you’ll have about six weeks to use the first credit. So book that spring break flight before the end of the year!

What Else the Bonvoy Boundless Card Offers

This isn’t a full card review, but here’s what you get for the $95 annual fee:

  • 6x points per dollar spent at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy
  • 3x points per dollar spent on the first $6,000 in combined purchases each year at grocery stores, gas stations, and restaurants
  • 2x points per dollar spent on everything else
  • An annual Free Night Award certificate redeemable at hotels costing up to 35,000 points (starting after your first account anniversary)
  • Automatic Silver Elite status each year, plus Gold status if you spend $35,000 on the card in a calendar year
  • 15 elite night credits each calendar year toward higher Marriott status, plus one more for every $5,000 you spend
  • No foreign transaction fees

For most cardholders, that annual free night alone should be worth more than the $95 fee. Just keep in mind you won’t get that benefit until your second year with the card.

The Boundless card is also the only way to get the Ritz-Carlton Card, one of the best hotel cards around, for which Chase no longer accepts applications. After holding the Boundless card for a year, you can ask Chase to upgrade it, as long as your credit limit is at least $10,000.

The Ritz card comes with an 85,000-point annual free night, a $300 annual travel credit, and airport lounge access for a $450 annual fee.

Why 200,000 Points Beats Free Night Certificates

A Free Night Award is a certificate redeemable for one night at a Marriott hotel – typically worth a set number of points. Earlier this year, the Boundless card offered four of them, each worth up to 50,000 points, marketed as up to 200,000 points in value (this offer is no longer available).

Those certificates only deliver their full value if you find a hotel priced at or just under 50,000 points a night. Use one on a 30,000-point hotel, and the other 20,000 points of value simply disappear. You can add your own points to a certificate to book a pricier hotel, but each one still covers a single night and expires 12 months after it’s issued.

Points don’t come with those limits. You can spend 200,000 points on a couple of nights at a high-end resort, spread them across a handful of cheaper stays, or add them to points you already have for a bigger trip. Marriott also makes the fifth night free on award stays of five nights, so at a hotel priced at 40,000 points a night, a five-night stay would cost 160,000 points rather than 200,000.

The spending requirement is the other bright spot. $3,000 in three months is a much easier bar to clear than the $5,000 or $6,000 some other big hotel card bonuses require, and holiday shopping alone could help you get most of the way there.

Who’s Eligible (and Who’s Not)

The biggest hurdle is Chase’s 5/24 rule. Chase will generally deny your application if you’ve opened five or more personal credit cards from any bank (not just Chase) in the past 24 months.

Marriott adds its own restrictions on top of that, because both Chase and American Express issue Marriott cards and each bank limits who can get them. Most people can answer the eligibility question with two checks.

If you don’t currently have a Marriott credit card and haven’t earned a welcome bonus on one in the past 24 months, you should be eligible. If either applies to you, the details below matter, and our guide to Marriott credit card eligibility walks through every scenario.

On the Chase side, you can’t get the card if you currently have the Boundless or the no-annual-fee Marriott Bonvoy Bold card, including either card’s older Marriott Premier versions. You also can’t get it if you earned a welcome bonus on any of those cards in the past 24 months.

Marriott’s American Express cards come with their own restrictions. You won’t get the bonus if:

  • You currently have the Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card, or closed it within the past 30 days
  • You were approved for the Marriott Bonvoy Business, Brilliant, or Bevy cards from Amex in the past 90 days
  • You earned a welcome or upgrade bonus on any of those three Amex cards in the past 24 months

Bottom Line

Marriott and Chase are currently out with a huge limited-time offer to earn 200,000 Marriott Bonvoy points after spending $3,000 in the first three months. If you’re eligible and interested in applying, you’ll need to act fast. This offer disappears this Wednesday, Nov. 11.

Just remember that no bonus is worth carrying a balance. Interest charges will quickly wipe out the value of 200,000 Marriott points, so only apply if you can responsibly meet the spending requirement.
