Attention, Seattle travelers: Delta wants your business … and it's coming after Alaska Airlines to get it. Book by Thursday, and you can score steep discounts on economy and Delta Comfort fares out of Sea-Tac this winter.

Through Thursday, Oct. 8, Delta is offering 30% off select nonstop domestic flights from Seattle (SEA) and 40% off nonstop flights between SEA and Hawaii. The sale fares are showing up on Google Flights, too, so a Google Flights Explore search like this one is the easiest way to find the cheapest dates and destinations.

But there's more: Delta is also selling Delta Comfort for just $12 more than Main Cabin, and that applies to fares already discounted by the sale. You can move up from basic economy to Comfort Basic (which still doesn't include free seat selection and is non-refundable) or from Main Classic to Comfort Classic.

Separately, Delta is pricing Delta Comfort just a couple of bucks more than Main Cabin on flights between Anchorage (ANC) or Fairbanks (FAI) and four Florida airports: Tampa (TPA), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Miami (MIA), and Orlando (MCO). On flights that long, a few extra inches of legroom plus free snacks, beer, and wine go a long way.

Plus, select nonstops between Anchorage or Fairbanks and Seattle are eligible for 15% off.

SEattle to Fairbanks fares

Sale fares are valid on select flights from October through March 10, 2027, so this is a great chance to lock in fall or winter travel from the Pacific Northwest.

Beyond the Hawaii and Alaska-Florida promos, most of the cheapest fares we're seeing are on routes within the West Coast and Mountain West, with roundtrips as low as $117. That's no coincidence: These are all routes where Delta goes head-to-head with Alaska, its SEA roommate.

Why is Delta Doing This?

Two words: Alaska Airlines.

Alaska has been making waves lately, especially at its Seattle hub.

First, it merged with Hawaiian Airlines, picking up wide-body jets capable of flying overseas. Then it put those big birds to work on new international routes to places like Tokyo and London, and it's kept adding more. Along the way, Alaska launched a new suite of credit cards, teased a new debit card and transfer partner, unveiled a redesigned business class, opened a new premium lounge, and added a premium economy cabin.

In short, Alaska has momentum in Seattle, and it's already much, much bigger there than Delta. Alaska is scheduled to fly about 53% more capacity out of SEA than Delta in 2026, even though Delta will operate about 132% more international flights.

But domestic flying is huge for U.S. airlines, and Delta can't afford to cede too much ground to Alaska in the Battle for Seattle.

That's why a sale like this makes sense. Cheap fares might turn the heads of some Alaska flyers at a time when airfare is high, and they help Delta fill planes during the slowest travel months of the year.
