Got a Delta SkyMiles American Express credit card in your wallet? You could save on an international trip this winter, but only if you book your flights this week.
As part of American Express' “Member Week,” Delta is offering SkyMiles cardholders a $100 Delta eCredit if they spend at least $500 on a roundtrip international flight, so long as they book by Friday, Oct. 13.
Here's how it works: First, you must enroll in the promotion on Delta's website or from the link in your email.
Then, you have to book a roundtrip Delta flight of at least $500 from the U.S. to an international destination by Friday, Oct. 13 for travel before March 24, 2024. The fare must be Main Cabin or higher and be paid in cash – not using your Delta SkyMiles. There are some blackout dates, too: Trips over the winter holidays between Dec. 15, 2023, and Jan. 10, 2024, are not eligible for this promotion.
If you complete all of those things, Delta will issue travelers a $100 Delta eCredit to use on a future flight.
Overall, this targeted promotion comes with a lot of annoying strings attached, but it could be useful for travelers who are already planning on booking an international trip for this winter. Just be sure you're booking a main cabin fare or higher – no basic economy – and that your trip falls outside the monthlong blackout period to ensure you get the $100 back.
Bottom Line
Delta is offering a $100 eCredit to travelers who book a roundtrip international trip by Friday so long as they fly before March 24, 2024, and not over the winter holidays.
While restrictive, if you were already planning to book a roundtrip, international Delta trip for this winter, it's an easy way to earn a $100 eCredit to put toward a future flight.
