Whether you're buying groceries, household essentials, or checking names off your holiday shopping list, American Express has just added a fantastic new Amex Offer that can help you save big: Spend $60 or more at Walmart.com and earn $20 back. That's right, spend $60 and get a credit of up to 33% back from Amex – it's as simple as that!
Notably, this offer is only applicable to online purchases made either at Walmart.com or through the mobile app and does not extend to in-store purchases. But best of all, you can use it twice before it expires for a total of $40 back on purchases. It's not entirely clear whether a single purchase of $120 or more will trigger both $20 credits; however, similar Amex offers have worked in this manner in the past.
Amex Offers like this one are targeted, so not everyone will see it in their accounts … and this one appears to be more targeted than others. So far, we're only seeing this offer appear on bank's flagship *amex platinum* – not the *amex gold* or co-branded Delta and Hilton cards.
Why the Amex Platinum of all cards? One of the card's most underrated benefits is a monthly credit of up to $12.95 per month to cover the cost of a Walmart+ membership. With this Amex Offer, Walmart is likely trying to further incentivize Platinum Cardholders to shop at the big box retailer this holiday season.
This Amex Offer doesn't expire until the end of the year (Dec. 31, 2025), so you've got more than a month to put it to use. Just know, we often see Amex pull these offers quickly, so check your Amex Platinum Card and add it ASAP if you see it.
Additionally, some cardholders may be targeted for an offer to get 25% back (up to a $25 max) through Jan. 31, 2026.
Where to Find Amex Offers
If you haven't used Amex Offers before, think of them as digital coupons exclusively for Amex cardholders for purchases like airfare or hotels, as well as dining, entertainment, or everyday shopping.
To check if you're targeted, simply log into your American Express app and click on “Offers” at the bottom of the screen.
If you're using the desktop version of the American Express website, you'll find Amex Offers about halfway down the homepage. Here, you can view all the Amex Offers that are currently available, see which ones you've already added to your card, and even review your lifetime savings with the Amex Offers program.
Just remember that if you have multiple Amex cards, you'll need to toggle through them all, as the offers can be different for each card. If you see an offer you like, simply add it to the card and make a qualifying purchase at that business with your card. You should receive a statement credit for the offer within a few days of making a purchase.
Thrifty Tip: Amex displays a maximum of 100 offers at a time. If you're not seeing the one you want, try adding a handful to your card, logging out, and then logging back in to see if you get some new ones!
