About Gunnar
Gunnar is a travel reporter, flight deal analyst, and host of The Thrifty Traveler Podcast who joined the team in July 2021. He finds flight deals for our Thrifty Traveler Premium members and writes about flight deal trends and the travel industry.
His insights have been featured on CNN, the Today Show, the Washington Post, FOX 9–Twin Cities, WHDH TV–Boston, the Star Tribune, Minnesota Public Radio, and WCCO Radio, among others. Before joining Thrifty Traveler, Gunnar was a journalist for newspapers in Southern Minnesota and at KMSP-TV.
Gunnar has traveled to all seven continents, and his favorite places include Antarctica, Iceland, Glacier National Park, the Masai Mara in Kenya, Chamonix in France, and Lake Tahoe.
