Our Analysis
We've named the Blue Cash Preferred card one of the best cashback credit cards, period. At 6% cashback, it is an incredible option for your streaming services spending as well as the first $6,000 of your U.S. supermarket spending each year.
In addition to that, you'll earn a huge new $250 cashback bonus after spending $3,000 in the first six months of card membership. Best of all, you won't be on the hook to pay the card's $95 annual fee in the first year of card membership.
It's a great deal for one of the best cash back cards out there.
One thing to note is that unlike the Chase Freedom Cards, which allow you to transfer cash back into Ultimate Rewards points, Amex does not offer that option on their cash back credit cards. There is no way to turn the cash back into Membership Rewards points. However, if you are strictly looking for cash back, this is a phenomenal offer. Especially in year one.
Bottom Line
The Blue Cash Preferred is one of the best cash back credit cards out there. And with the ability to earn $250 cash back on your first $3,000 of spending in the first six months of card membership, it's worth a serious look.
