Bilt Rewards has stormed onto the scene in the last year, making its mark as the only transferrable points program that allows you to earn points on monthly rent payments. But Bilt keeps pushing the envelope even further with interesting new offers and promos – and this might be the best one yet.
Starting today, Oct. 27, you can unlock complimentary United Premier Silver or Gold elite status for 120 days just for being a Bilt Rewards Member … even if you just sign up for a free Bilt account. From there, there's a fairly easy path to extend United status all the way through January 2024. This is from the November edition of its new Bilt Rent Day promos, and it's available for enrollment until 11:59 p.m. PST on Nov. 1.
Just what tier of United elite status you'll get depends on what kind of Bilt account you've got. Everyday Bilt Blue members are eligible for United Premier Silver Status. To get United Premier Gold Status for four-plus months, you'll need to have a Bilt Silver, Gold, or Platinum membership. Those require earning 25,000, 50,000, and 100,000 total points to qualify each year, respectively – you can earn them by paying rent and with the *Bilt Mastercard*.
But even at the lowest tier, there are some solid benefits available flying United just for having a free Bilt Rewards account. Here's a look at what you get.
Whether you're already using Bilt or haven't heard of it, if you've got United flights coming up or not … there's really no reason not to sign up for this promotion.
To register for this promotion and unlock four months of United Elite status, head to the Rent Day tab in the Bilt Rewards mobile app. After linking your Bilt and United accounts and activating this Premier Status promo, you should receive an email confirming your status within three weeks of enrolling. Enrollment in the promotion is open until 11:59 p.m. PST on Nov. 1.
Bilt Members will also have the ability to extend their United Elite Status through January 2024 by completing the following requirements:
- For Silver Premier members: Earn 1,000 Premier qualifying points (PQPs) and four premier qualifying flights (PQFs).
- For Gold Premier members: Earn 2,000 Premier qualifying points (PQPs) and six premier qualifying flights (PQFs).
Bilt Rent Day: November 1 Additional Details
In addition to the United status promotion which starts today, Bilt Rewards members will get even more benefits for Rent Day on Nov. 1:
- Earn 6x points per $1 spent on dining (regularly 3x points per $1 spent)
- Earn 4x points per $1 spent on travel (regularly 2 points per $1 spent)
- All other spend earns 2x points per $1 spent (excluding your rent payment)
Additionally, all Bilt Rewards members will have the ability to bring a companion to a SoulCycle class for free at over 50 SoulCycle locations nationwide. Classes can be reserved through the Bilt Rewards or Soul Cycle apps.

So…new Bilt members would only receive Silver status and have virtually no shot at Gold status, since they couldn’t accrue 25,000 Bilt points by Nov. 1?
Also…I assume the PQPs and PQFs must be achieved within the 4 month period to extend status. Meaning, no one would get Silver status for 4 months, and then, if they achieved the PQPs and PQFs say, 6 months after registering and unlocking status, they wouldn’t magically receive Gold status through Jan. 2024 after about 2 months of having no status.
Has anyone received the premier status email yet? I might be early and impatient lol but I need to buy a flight for early December on United and want to use the perks!
Bilt has said the status challenge should begin within 14 days of the Nov. 1 enrollment deadline, so hold tight!
