Our Analysis
There's plenty to unpack, but most of these changes are just simply rebranding the suite of co-branded credit cards. A few of the products will be getting additional benefits once the rebrand is complete.
As a part of this announcement, Chase also hinted at a new no annual fee Marriott Bonvoy card coming this summer. It's unclear what this might entail, as no additional details have been released yet.
Many things with the Marriott and SPG merger have been complicated. The co-branded card relationship is no exception.
Bottom Line
The biggest piece of news to be aware of here is that the SPG American Express card will be discontinued for new applications after Feb. 12. If you are interested in applying, you have just a few weeks to do so.
