From United to Hilton Honors to Bilt Rewards, rideshare company Lyft, partners with plenty of other travel programs to let you earn points or miles on each and every ride. But if you haven't already, there's a good reason to to link your account to earn Alaska Atmos points instead.

Through Jan. 14, 2026, Lyft users who link their Alaska Atmos Rewards account for the first time can earn a $15 ride credit. There's no requirement to even take a ride – just link your accounts and you'll get that $15 credit a few weeks (or days) later. This excellent promo was first spotted by Award Wallet.

There are, however, a few fine-print items to beware of:

  • Most importantly: You can only get this credit if you're linking your Atmos and Lyft accounts for the first time – it doesn't apply retroactively. It's unclear whether that applies to anyone who previously linked their Lyft and Alaska Mileage Plan (the airline's previous loyalty program) accounts
  • You won't get the credit immediately: The terms say you'll receive it “within five days of the end of the Promotional Period” – so as late as Jan. 19. That said, it could certainly get deposited much sooner.
  • You'll need to use it quickly: This $15 credit will expire Jan. 31, 2026.

Still, this is an easy way to pocket a $15 credit and save on a Lyft ride next month. While the terms state that these credits won't be deposited until mid-January, it wouldn't surprise me if they're processed far sooner.

Alaska Mileage Plan may be gone in name, but the new Atmos Rewards program with Hawaiian Airlines hasn't lost its luster – it's still among the most valuable mileage programs in the world. From dirt-cheap domestic flights to cheaper transatlantic business class awards to an almost unbeatable array of partner airlines, Atmos is loaded with sweet spots.

So you might want to consider earning Atmos Rewards long-term on your Lyft rides. You'll earn 2x points per $1 on any eligible Lyft rides (in the U.S. and Canada), or 3x points on airport transfers or “elevated” ride modes. Taxes, fees, tolls, and tips don't count.

That said, you could always switch back your Lyft earning back to another program like Bilt. I'd probably wait until after your $15 Lyft credit hits your account to make the switch back – just to be sure.

Bottom Line

A new (and incredibly easy) promo can net you a $15 Lyft credit just for linking your account to earn Alaska Atmos Rewards points.

This is only available to first-time users linking their airline and rideshare accounts. And while you won't have a ton of time to put that credit to use, you might as well take advantage!
