American Express is currently out with several of money-saving Amex Offers for select hotel stays at Grand Hyatts as well as many all-inclusive resorts under the banner of Secrets and Impression by Secrets – two of the best brands in Hyatt's ever-growing all-inclusive portfolio. Exactly how much you can save depends on where you're going … and how much you spend.
If you haven't used Amex Offers before, think of them as digital coupons exclusively for Amex cardholders for purchases like airfare or hotels as well as dining, entertainment, or everyday shopping. Add one of these to your Amex card, use that card to book an eligible Hyatt stay, and Amex will give you money right back for the discount within a few days as a statement credit on your account.
Like all Amex Offers, these are targeted – they may not be available to all cardholders. Fortunately, it seems like most *amex platinum card* and *amex gold card* are targeted as well as some co-branded Delta and Hilton Honors American Express cards, too.
Just log in to your American Express Account and see if you can add it to your American Express card. If it's there, simply add it and then use that Amex card to book a qualifying stay before the deadline.
Here's what we're seeing available for Amex Hyatt offers currently.
Save $200 at Secrets & Secrets Impression
Hyatt's portfolio of all-inclusive properties has grown rapidly after it swallowed up a chain of resorts. From the longstanding Hyatt Ziva and Zilara properties to a brand-new Hyatt Vivid in Cancún, there are plenty to choose from … but Secrets and Secrets Impression properties are the cream of the crop if you're looking for an adults-only resort. And this Amex offer is the key to some substantial savings.
Spend $750 or more at select Secrets and Secrets Impression properties and you'll get $200 right back. This one is valid at properties throughout Mexico and the Caribbean as well as the Secrets Papagayo Costa Rica and even a trio of resorts in Spain.
This offer is valid through July 14 – but so long as you prepay for an all-inclusive stay before that deadline, you should be able to take advantage of this offer even for a stay as far out as 2025. Room rates and even room charges qualify.
For years, booking Hyatt all-inclusive resorts with points was a slam dunk, but devaluations year after year have left the hotel chain's portfolio with little value when redeeming World of Hyatt points. This Amex Offer could just be the best way to book right now.
For example, you could book a three-night stay at the Secrets Huatulco Resort & Spa for just over $1,000 late this spring. Add this Amex Offer to your card and use it to pay, and your net cost drops to roughly $800 after the statement credit kicks in.
There are also two top-of-the-line Secrets Impression properties in Mexico that qualify for this offer: The Secrets Impression Moxché near Playa del Carmen and the Secrets Impression Isla Mujeres, both boasting private pools, better service, and second-to-none drinks and dining onsite. Just don't expect such a bargain at these properties: Nightly rates typically start north of $1,000.
Save $50 at Grand Hyatts Worldwide
No matter where you're going, you can use another Amex Offer to save on your next Grand Hyatt stay.
With this offer, you can save an easy $50 after spending $250 or more at any Grand Hyatt worldwide. This offer runs through June 30, but prepaid reservations further in the future should trigger it as well as any room charges.
Where to Find Amex Offers
If you haven’t used Amex Offers before, simply log into your American Express account and scroll down near the bottom of the screen and there should be a box called Amex Offers & Benefits. It's available through the Amex mobile app as well.
If you see an offer you like, simply add the offer to the card and make a qualifying purchase at that business with your card. You should receive a statement credit for the offer within a few days of making a purchase.
