Just over a year ago when we started our podcast, I didn't have these six words on my bingo card. Heck, I didn't have them in mind even a few months ago, but here we are!

That's right: We won the 2026 Shorty Awards! Somehow, the (very smart and savvy and probably also incredibly good-looking) judges at the Shorty's decided our podcast is actually good – despite our best efforts. But really, it's all thanks to you loyal TTPOD listeners – or “Thrifties,” if you're into the whole brevity thing.
You've tuned in every week and left 200 stellar, five-star (plus one hilariously negative) reviews. You've shared the pod with friends and family. You've shared your episode ideas and hilarious travel mistakes with us. And, most importantly, you voted for our show to win the Shorty's.

We started this podcast on a whim just over a year ago, unsure what to expect. Honestly, making it to the one-year mark in March felt like an accomplishment. Now, there's no turning back.
