Earn 4x+ Amex Points on Amazon Purchases with Targeted Offer
‘Tis the season to earn more points and miles on your holiday shopping. And with this latest Amex Offer to earn more points on Amazon purchases, it’s never been easier.
American Express has added a new targeted offer to earn a bonus 4x points on all Amazon purchases. With the standard 1x you’d earn on your Amex card, that means you’re earning 5x points by shopping through Amazon.
This offer caps at 1,500 bonus points, so spending up to $300 should do the trick. And it’s targeted, so be sure to log in to see if you’re eligible. But it appears this offer first reported by Doctor of Credit is widely available.
It expires Dec. 31, 2019. But we often see American Express pull offers early, so it doesn’t pay to wait. There’s no harm in adding the offer to your card now and racking up whatever bonus points you can on Amazon purchases – especially holiday gifts for travelers.
Membership Rewards points are what you earn from cards like the Platinum Card from American Express and the American Express Gold Card. That means you need one of these cards or another that earns Membership Rewards points to be eligible for this targeted offer – a Delta American Express card won’t cut it.
Where to Find Amex Offers
If you haven’t used Amex Offers before, simply log into your American Express account and scroll down near the bottom of the screen and there should be a box called “Amex Offers & Benefits.” This is available through the Amex mobile app as well.
If you see an offer you like, simply add the offer to the card and make a qualifying purchase at that business with your card. You should receive a statement credit for the offer within a few days of making a purchase.
Thrifty Tip: Not familiar with Amex Offers? See our complete guide to using Amex Offers.
Amex offers are great because they’re basically free money – or points – for spending you’re going to do anyhow. It’s just another way to justify the cost of a credit card annual fee.
Make sure to check your various American Express credit cards because each one can have different offers. It looks like this Amazon offer is pretty widely available. And it’s just in time for the slew of upcoming Black Friday deals and your holiday shopping.
The offers change quite frequently, so add this now before it disappears.
