How to Book Singapore’s New A380 First Class Suite with Points
Singapore Airlines announced updates to their first class and business products this morning. Safe to say the images of the new products are incredible. I’ve been following this story for awhile and was able to book a speculative booking earlier this year. Let’s take a look at the new first class and business product and then let me show you how to book.
How to Book
The first route to get the new suite product will be from Singapore to Sydney (SQ221/232) on December 18, 2017. In August, I made a speculative booking, hoping this product would be released on this route. I won’t be flying until May 2018, but I’m incredibly excited to try out the new product. You can book the First Class Suite for 80,000 Singapore Krisflyer miles.
The good news is that it’s easy to earn Krisflyer miles. Singapore’s Krisflyer program is transfer partners with the following programs:
- American Express Membership Rewards
- Chase Ultimate Rewards
- Citi ThankYou Rewards
- Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG)
The bad news is that everyone is jumping on the limited amount of seats on these routes. The 80,000 Saver availability appears to be gone, but many dates can still be booked one-way for 150,000 miles for a standard redemption.
Singapore’s new A380’s are also getting a refresh in business class, and these awards are much easier to book. While not as fancy as the First Class Suites, the new business class looks awesome as well, and can be booked for only 58,000 miles.
There is excellent availability almost daily both ways in Business class for only 58,000 miles. Total taxes and fees are $48 one-way. Hard to beat the value on this redemption.
Singapore’s new First Class Suites look to be the best first class product offered by any airline. Rumors are the Singapore to London route will be the next to get the upgraded aircraft. If you’re planning any travel to Singapore or Sydney in the next few months, I’d make your bookings now, as these routes will be snapped up quick. One of the best things about Singapore award tickets is they can be cancelled and the points redeposited for only $30.
