WATCH: American Flight Slides Off Icy Runway at Chicago-O’Hare
An American Airlines plane skidded off the runway at Chicago-O’Hare (ORD) while landing during a light snowstorm Monday morning.
American says no passengers or crew were hurt in the incident, according to ABC7 Chicago. The flight was operated by American regional carrier Envoy Air on a small Embraer ERJ-145 flying from Greensboro, North Carolina (GSO) to ORD. Three crew members and just 38 passengers were on board.
Video captured by a passenger shows the plane fishtailing sometime after landing and skidding off the runway. The plane eventually tipped, and its wing appears to lodge in the snowy ground.

“All 38 passengers and three crew members were deplaned from the aircraft and are now safely back in the terminal,” American said in a statement.
Luckily, no one was hurt in the accident. Listen closely and you’ll hear a passenger yell “I think we landed!” after the plane crashed.
