Gauging how long it may take to get through airport security is always difficult. But as unpaid TSA workers stay home during the partial government shutdown, it’s become unpredictable. And it’s a source of anxiety for all travelers.

That’s why we’ve put together this chart showing how wait times at TSA checkpoints have changed during the shutdown at 36 of the nation’s largest airports. While this won’t help you predict how long it will take to clear security for your upcoming trip, it can show you how things are going at your home airport. And hopefully it will reveal some trends as this shutdown drags on.

Simply select your airport from the righthand toolbar to see the maximum wait times for both standard security and TSA PreCheck members. Or add a few airports to the filter and see how some of the biggest airports in the nation compare. Bookmark this page if you’ve got a trip coming up. We’ll update it every day with the latest data.

One heads up: This graphic works best on a desktop.

This data comes directly from the TSA, which has given daily updates for the last week or so. Note that some datapoints are missing from several airports on some days.

Your graph needs to have units of measure on the vertical access. I don’t know if your are talking minutes or hours. When we are being told to get to the airport 3 hours ahead of time due to the government shutdown, the missing units make a BIG difference. Your graph needs to be labeled correctly or it has absolutely no value to anyone.
