White Claw Summer may be over, but American Airlines is joining the hard seltzer craze.

American will begin serving Truly Hard Seltzer onboard select flights starting Jan. 1. The airline is expected to serve the alcoholic water on all its flights starting Feb. 1, The Points Guy reports.

Only the company's Wild Berry flavor will be available during American flights initially, though the flavor options could expand later. Each can of Truly will cost $8.

Hard seltzers like Truly and White Claw exploded in popularity over the summer. It was only a matter of time before airlines looked to capitalize.

And American is not the first airline to start slinging hard seltzers in-flight. JetBlue began serving Truly's Wild Berry flavor on its flights last month.

Bottom Line

There ain't no laws when you're drinking Claws, but that mindset doesn't exactly fly inside a metal tube. Watch for this new option on your upcoming American flight.
