We're searching for a passionate and savvy traveler who knows the ins and outs of all things cheap travel and has at least a few years of professional experience creating and editing content for platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Expertise with video editing software is a must, as is a passion for travel hacking: whether it's finding cheap flights or using points and miles.
In addition to creating content for Thrifty Traveler, you'll help us manage a growing network of affiliates spreading the word about Thrifty Traveler and our Thrifty Traveler Premium+ flight deal alert service.

Content Creator & Social Media Manager: About the Job
Thrifty Traveler is looking for a content creator and social media manager to lead our efforts on social media.
This person will be primarily responsible for creating videos and other content for our social media accounts including Instagram and Tiktok as well as Facebook, Twitter, and even Pinterest.
We need someone who can create high-quality Instagram Reels and TikToks that bring the world of cheap travel to life. You'll need to talk through the complex topics in travel like finding cheap flights or using points and miles and translate them for social media. Being comfortable on camera is an absolute must along with expertise editing video from other team members.
This position is open to applicants everywhere for fully remote or hybrid work, though being based with us in the Twin Cities region of Minnesota is a plus.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Work with the Thrifty Traveler team to conceptualize and implement social campaigns
- Create video and other content for Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and Facebook
- Meet key performance indicators for social media campaigns (likes, shares, views, revenue, etc.)
- Work with influencers to guide the creation of social media posts and promote Thrifty Traveler Premium+
- Solidify and grow relationships with affiliates and influencers
Qualifications & Skills:
- A passion for travel hacking
- Professional experience creating content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter
- Experience and expertise using video editing software
- Comfortable talking on camera
- Working knowledge of Canva, Adobe XD, and/or other creative tools
- Must have a creative eye
- Must have excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Being based in Twin Cities region of Minnesota is a plus
- Excellent time management skills for organizing and implementing posts on all platforms and coordinating with affiliates
- Marketing experience preferred but not required
