Since the beginning of the pandemic, banks have been doing more and more to provide some extra value for some of their top travel rewards credit cards. And few banks have gone further than American Express. In fact, Amex isn’t done yet.
After focusing on their core cards with massive retention bonuses and new PayPal credits, American Express on Monday rolled out new statement credits for their co-branded credit cards with Delta, Hilton, and Marriott. These new credits mean you can save at restaurants (including takeout) or wireless service through the end of the year with cards like the Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card or the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card.
But just what you get with each card varies. So keep reading for a full breakdown of what is available.
Dining Credits on Personal Cards
Just for holding a co-branded American Express Delta, Hilton, or Marriott credit card, you should have new offers available to reimburse you for spending at restaurants through the end of the year.
These are available through Amex Offers, so you’ll have to log into your credit card account and manually add them to your card.
You’ll get either $10 to $20 back after spending that amount at a restaurant each month through the end of 2021! That’s up to $220 through the end of the year.
Add the offer to your card, and it will automatically kick in when you make a purchase at a restaurant – for dine-in, delivery, or takeout.

How to Activate These New Offers
If you haven’t used Amex Offers before, simply log into your American Express account and scroll down near the bottom of the screen and there should be a box called Amex Offers & Benefit. It’s available through the Amex mobile app as well.
If you see an offer you like, just add the offer to the card and make a qualifying purchase at that business with your card. You should receive a statement credit for the offer within a few days of making a purchase – if not immediately. Each of the corresponding offers listed above will be available if you hold the card.
Once you’ve added it, just make a qualifying charge and it should trigger the credit automatically.

These are great new offers from Amex that can easily justify the annual fee you will pay on any of these cards in 2021 – if not cover it entirely. All you need to do is activate the offers through Amex Offers and use them at U.S. restaurants or on U.S. wireless services.
These are all available through the end of the year, so don’t miss out.
