Amex Offer: Spend $200 at Marriott, Get $40 Back (Up to 20% Off)
American Express has added a great new offer for stays at Marriott Hotels. Spend $200 at Marriott and get $40 back.
The offer is a one-time statement credit which must be used by September 3, 2019. This Marriott Amex offer is targeted but I was able to pull it up on 3 of my American Express cards.
This promotion is valid for stays at Marriott hotels in the US or US territories. And as is the case with all Amex offers, it doesn’t need to be completed in one transaction. You can reach the spending requirement over multiple transactions.
To use this offer, you must book directly with Marriott via their website, mobile app or over the phone. Additionally, the offer excludes gift card purchases and stays at Marriott Vacation Club properties, Design Hotels, Protea Hotels, and Marriott Executive Apartments.
Where to find Amex Offers
If you haven’t used Amex Offers before, simply log into your American Express account and scroll down near the bottom of the screen and there should be a box called Amex Offers & Benefits (this is available through the Amex mobile app as well). If you see an offer you like, simply add the offer to the card and make a qualifying purchase at that business with your card. You should receive a statement credit for the offer within a few days of making a purchase.
Thrifty Tip: Not familiar with Amex Offers? See our complete guide to using Amex Offers.
I’m a fan of Amex offers because they’re basically free money for spending I am going to do anyhow. They represent another way to justify the cost of a credit card annual fee.
Make sure to check your various American Express credit cards because each one can have different offers. However, as mentioned above, it looks like this offer is targeted, so it won’t be available for everybody. The offers change quite frequently, so add this one now before it disappears.
