Earn Bonus Amex Points for Las Vegas Stays (Targeted Offer)
American Express has added a handful of new Amex offers that will earn you up to 10,000 bonus Membership Rewards points for hotel bookings at several Las Vegas hotels.
There’s an offer to earn 4,000 points after a $200-plus stay at any Caesar’s property (Caesar’s Palace, Paris, The Linq, The Flamingo, etc.). Spending $300 or more at Wynn or Encore could net you 6,000 Amex Membership Rewards as a bonus. And if you spend $300 or $500 with MGM at resorts like the MGM, Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, and more, you can earn 6,000 or 10,000 points.
Together, these offers can earn you some bonus points for almost any hotel stay on the Las Vegas Strip except the Venetian and Palazzo.
Membership Rewards points are what you earn from cards like the Platinum Card from American Express and the American Express Gold Card. That means you need one of these cards or another that earns Membership Rewards points to be eligible for this targeted offer – a Delta American Express card won’t cut it.
These Vegas Amex offers are targeted, which means they won’t be available for all cardholders. However, these offers appear to be widely available.
Just what you will get with each offer varies, and the images below will show you all of the offers we’ve seen. All offers end on either August 29 or September 3, so you will need to have at least paid for your travel by those dates.
Where to Find Amex Offers
If you haven’t used Amex Offers before, simply log into your American Express account and scroll down near the bottom of the screen and there should be a box called “Amex Offers & Benefits” (this is available through the Amex mobile app as well).
If you see an offer you like, simply add the offer to the card and make a qualifying purchase at that business with your card. You should receive a statement credit for the offer within a few days of making a purchase.
Thrifty Tip: Not familiar with Amex Offers? See our complete guide to using Amex Offers.
Amex offers are great because they’re basically free money – or points – for spending you’re going to do anyhow. It’s just another way to justify the cost of a credit card annual fee.
Make sure to check your various American Express credit cards because each one can have different offers. It looks like these Las Vegas Amex offers are targeted. And they’re only available for Membership Rewards earning credit cardholders, so it won’t be available for everybody.
The offers change quite frequently, so add these now before they disappear.
