IHG’s Rewards Club loyalty program isn’t among the best in the world of points and miles. But each quarter, they run a promotion called IHG PointsBreaks that we think is one of the best deals in the hotel industry, thanks to some steep discounts when booking hotel stays with points.

The hotel chain launched its new PointsBreaks promotion on Monday for the fourth quarter of 2019 which is bookable for stays through October 31. However, if any of the properties on the list will work for your travel plans, you will want to book quickly as the best ones typically don’t last long.

See the full list of properties here.

What is IHG PointsBreaks?

On a quarterly basis, IHG makes hundreds of hotels available to book for just 5,000, 10,000, or 15,000 points per night through the PointsBreaks program. The hotels are available on a limited basis so the best hotels typically sell out quickly.

As of Monday, the promotion is now live and properties can be booked for stays through October 31, 2019 (subject to availability). The full list of available properties can be found here.

If any of these properties work for your upcoming travel plans, this is a great way to stretch the value of your hard-earned IHG Rewards Club points.

The Best PointsBreaks Properties Bookable Through October 31

Generally speaking, the InterContinental hotels are the most popular on the PointsBreaks list and tend to sell out first. And while there are almost 200 properties in total, there are only eight InterContintal properties on the current PointsBreaks list which can be booked for either 10,000 or 15,000 points each night. Below, we will highlight a few of our favorite properties included on the current list.

The InterContinental At Doral Miami

The Intercontinental Doral, Miami is a great option on the newest Points Breaks list. A night at the property would typically cost 40,000 points. However, during the current PointsBreak promotion, it can be booked for only 15,000 points each night!

The hotel has been fully renovated and has an outdoor pool, 24/7 fitness center and is within three miles of the International Mall, Dolphin Mall City Place, and Downtown Doral.

Combine PointsBreaks with the IHG Rewards Club Premier Credit Card

One of the best things about the PointsBreaks program is that you can receive a free fourth night on award bookings if you hold the IHG Rewards Club Premier Credit Card. This means you could book a four-night stay through the PointsBreaks promotion and only pay for three discounted nights. And right now, the card is offering an increased welcome offer bonus of 125,000 points after spending $3,000 in the first three months of card membership.
