IHG Launches Their Newest PointsBreaks Promotion
IHG’s Rewards Club loyalty program isn’t typically considered among the best in the world of points and miles. However, each quarter, they run a promotion in which they brand IHG PointsBreaks that we think is one of the best deals in the hotel industry.
The hotel chain launched its new PointsBreaks promotion today (2/25/19) for the second quarter of 2019 (bookable through May 31). See the full list of properties here.
What is IHG PointsBreaks?
On a quarterly basis, IHG makes hundreds of hotels available to book for just 5,000, 10,000 or 15,000 points per night through the PointsBreaks program. The hotels are available on a limited basis, so the best hotels typically sell out quickly.
As of today (2/25/19), the promotion is now live and properties can be booked for stays through May 31, 2019 (subject to availability). The full list of available properties can be found here.
If any of these properties work for your upcoming travel plans, this is a great way to stretch the value of your hard earned IHG Rewards Club points. Don’t wait on this as the best properties typically sell out quickly as noted above.
Thrifty Tip: Included in the list of properties for 15,000 points a night is the new InterContinental Hotel at the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport (MSP). Check out our full review here.
Combine PointsBreaks with the IHG Rewards Club Premier Credit Card
One of the best things about the PointsBreaks program is that you can receive a free fourth night on award bookings if you hold the new IHG Rewards Club Premier Credit Card. This means you could book a four-night stay through the PointsBreaks promotion and only pay for three nights.
