Maybe you’re already searching for flights from and to all surrounding airports to ensure you’re getting the cheapest price. And Google’s calendar view can help you zero in on the cheapest dates to fly.
But Google Flights’ latest additions will make it easier to save on your airfare searches. It now provides pop-up recommendations based on the date grid, price graph, and nearby airports available in every Google Flights search.
The Thrifty Traveler team just noticed these new pop-up suggestions, and they are powerful. Google Flights may now suggest flying from a different airport nearby for hundreds less:

These features are very new, so keep an eye out for it! And even if you don’t get a suggestion from Google Flights, remember that checking other dates and nearby airports is a great way to save big on airfare.
