Use Mobile Wallet and Earn Extra Points with the Chase Sapphire Cards
Earlier this morning, Chase sent out an email to holders of their Sapphire lineup of credit cards titled “Get more points with Every Purchase”. The email states that between October 4th and November 4th, 2017, cardholders can get an extra 1x Ultimate Rewards point on any spend done with your Sapphire card using a mobile wallet (Chase Pay, Apple Pay, Android Pay, Samsung Pay) up to $1,500. There is no registration required and the offer is not targeted. All you need to do is register your Chase Sapphire card with any of the mobile wallet services mentioned above.
Since I hold the Chase Sapphire Reserve card, I will earn 2x on everyday purchases and 4x points on travel & dining at restaurants up to $1,500 of total spend, which is a great deal.
Thrifty Tip #1: We place a high value on Ultimate Rewards points for their overall flexibility and ease of use. They can even be used to book flight deals found here on Thrifty Traveler
If you are a cardholder of any of the Chase Sapphire products, this is a no-brainer on maximizing your spend. No registration is required and it does not appear to be targeted. Even if you didn’t receive the email, you should still be eligible to earn the additional points (up to $1,500). Don’t wait, this offer is only valid through 11/4/17.
