Earning points has never been so zen.

Hyatt is offering 500 free World of Hyatt points today, Wednesday, Dec. 9 to all World of Hyatt who complete a guided meditation exercise in the Hyatt smartphone app. These meditation sessions are from Headspace, and you've got three five- to 10-minute exercises to pick from: Unwind, Reflect, or Sleep.

Just open your World of Hyatt app, log in, and find the Headspace sessions on the main menu. There's no need to register: Just pick a course and listen.

You've got until 11:59 p.m. CST to listen to one of these guided sessions to earn your free points. Of course, you could simply play one of these meditation courses without actually participating. But I found the “Unwind” session quite nice – and I think we could all use a moment of clarity amid … all of this.

Once you complete the course, there's no sign or notification that you'll earn points. And it's unclear exactly when these points will hit your Hyatt account.

Will 500 free World of Hyatt points change your life? No. But Hyatt easily has the best points program among the big hotel chains, with free night awards starting at just 5,000 Hyatt points. So 500 points with Hyatt will get you much farther than with say Marriott, Hilton, or IHG.

And hey: Free points are free points!

Bottom Line

Find your inner peace and 500 free World of Hyatt points by meditating today. Just make sure to log into the World of Hyatt app and do one of these meditation exercises before 11:59 p.m. CST today.
