Delta has launched another SkyMiles flash sale on fall and winter flights to Europe. Travel must be booked by 11:59 ET on Wednesday, May 16th for travel between September 8 – November 15, 2018 and January 10 – March 15, 2019.
This deal starts at 48k SkyMiles round-trip (norm is 60k) and this deal appears to be available from most major U.S. cities. Best availability in September and early 2019.
You can fly Delta’s new flagship Airbus A350 to Amsterdam if you route through Detroit (will show with a “New” banner in search results). Economy on the A350 is featured in the lead photo above.
Thrifty Tip: When booking, make sure to select “Calendar View” and “5 weeks” to maximize the dates viewable.
- Appears to vary by departure city and destination. Appears this deal favors larger U.S cities. Most European cities are on sale. Best availability in September and early 2019.

This deal starts at 48,000 SkyMiles round-trip, which is an average savings of 12,000 SkyMiles off a normal award ticket. It’s interesting to note that Delta identified specific European cities which are “on sale” but most major European cities are actually on sale. The best availability appears to be late summer in September.
There are taxes and fees from $50 – $150. These are standard taxes for international award tickets and are a nominal fee considering many of these tickets go for $750+.
While this sale isn’t as good as the unadvertised 30k SkyMiles offer we found in February, it’s still a nice discount off of normal fares. If you need to bolster your SkyMiles balances check out our Top Cards page. Mileage programs tend to devalue over time so make sure to burn those SkyMiles, especially on solid deals like this.
