Flying to Europe in the summer is spendy. Doing it in business class, whether you’re paying cash or using miles, can be next to impossible.

And that’s what makes this latest Delta SkyMiles flash sale so great. You can fly to Europe in Delta’s business class for as low as 128,000 SkyMiles – including many routes in the swanky new Delta One suites! As usual, we found this sale is far larger than advertised: You can fly to a dozen European cities, and there are flights available from almost any airport with Delta service.

These flights normally cost $3,500 or more, and Delta typically charges at least 200,000 SkyMiles for a round-trip fare – and often double that. You’ll find the best availability from late July through August. That’s a time when most airlines make it tough to redeem miles to fly business class to Europe, so this deal really stands out.

And that means you need to act fast. Delta says you have to book by the end of today, Friday April 19, to lock in these rates.

Our Analysis

Getting to Europe in style has never been so easy.

But it’s the fact that these rates are available at the tail-end of the busy summer travel season – and that they’re available from so many airports – that makes this latest SkyMiles flash sale shine.

Most airlines typically charge 60,000 to 70,000 miles each way to Europe and back in business class. But it can be hard – if not impossible – to find seats at that rate when demand is so high during the summer.

And considering Delta recently started charging 105,000 SkyMiles for a one-way to Europe in business class, this is a steal. There’s no better way to start or finish your European summer vacation than with a lie-flat bed across the Atlantic – hopefully inside a private suite.

Delta One SkyMiles Sale Europe

Buying an award ticket to Europe always comes with some hefty taxes and fees, and this sale is no exception. Expect to pay $50 to $150 in fees on each ticket to every European destination.

Thrifty Tip #4: Amsterdam (AMS) has some of the lowest fees on this list, while London-Heathrow (LHR) will have the highest.

Delta One SkyMiles Sale Europe

Delta SkyMiles get a bad rap, and there’s no denying they can be tough to use well ever since the airline pulled its award chart – the cheat sheet that lays out how many miles you need to book a given flight. But flash sales like this are a big part of the reason why SkyMiles are worth collecting.

And these flash sales are always more expansive than Delta lets on, so do some searching from your home airport. So long as Delta flies in and out, you may be able to snag a suite deal to Europe with one stop in Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP), Detroit (DTW), New York City-JFK (JFK), or Atlanta (ATL).

Bottom Line

While Delta typically charges an arm and a leg to fly business class to Europe, now’s your chance to get it for a steal.

Most airlines will charge you more than 140,000 miles round-trip, and make it nearly impossible to get there and back during the summer. So book this $4,000-plus flight now and start planning your European vacation.
