[Amex Offer] Spend $300 at SPG Hotels Get $60 Back (Up to 20% off)
This morning, American Express added a great new offer that many people should be able to take advantage of. Spend $300 at a Starwood hotel and get $60 back.
The offer is a one-time statement credit which must be used by September 4th, 2018. This SPG Amex offer seems to be pretty widely available as I was able to find it on all of my American Express cards with the exception of my Hilton business card (which would only make sense).
This offer should work for all eligible room rates which will include taxes and any other fees. Your stay can even be after the 9/4/18 deadline as long as your Amex card is charged prior to this deadline. Many times, you will even get a better rate for prepayment.
Per the terms and conditions, this promotion is valid at any Starwood portfolio property in the US & US territories, including Aloft, Element, Four Points by Sheraton, Le Meridien, The Luxury Collection, Sheraton, St. Regis, Tribute Portfolio, W Hotels, and Westin. Marriott properties and Design Hotels properties aren’t eligible for this promotion.
Where to find Amex Offers
If you haven’t used Amex Offers before, simply log into your American Express account and scroll down near the bottom of the screen and there should be a box called Amex Offers & Benefits (this is available through the Amex mobile app as well). If you see an offer you like, simply add the offer to the card and make a qualifying purchase at that business with your card. You should receive a statement credit for the offer within a few days of making a purchase.
Thrifty Tip: Not familiar with Amex Offers? See our complete guide to using Amex Offers.
I’m a fan of Amex offers because they’re basically free money for spending I am going to do anyhow. They also represent another way to justify the cost of a credit card annual fee. Make sure to check your various American Express credit cards because each one can have different offers. However, as mentioned above, it looks like this SPG Amex offer is pretty widely available. The offers change almost daily, so add this one now before it disappears.
