American Express added a great new offer that many people should be able to take advantage of. Spend $50 at Amazon and get $20 back or 2,000 Membership Rewards Points. If you have an American Express card that earns Membership Rewards, you likely have the offer for 2,000 Membership Rewards points.

The Amex offer is a one-time statement credit which must be used by May 31st, 2018. The offer is targeted, and I was only able to pull it up on one of my wife’s American Express cards.

Where to find Amex Offers

If you haven’t used Amex Offers before, simply log into your American Express account and scroll down near the bottom of the screen and there should be a box called Amex Offers & Benefits (this is available through the Amex mobile app as well). If you see an offer you like, simply add the offer to the card and make a qualifying purchase at that business with your card. You should receive a statement credit for the offer within a few days of making a purchase.

Bottom Line

I’m a fan of Amex offers because they’re basically free money for spending I am going to do anyhow. They also represent another way to justify the cost of a credit card annual fee. Make sure to check your various American Express credit cards because each one can have different offers. It looks like this Amazon Amex offer is highly targeted. The offers change almost daily, so add this one now before it disappears.
