Early on Tuesday morning, Alaska Airlines announced the termination of four existing domestic routes. According to airlineroute, the following routes will be discontinued in 2018.

Los Angeles – Orlando Last flight on July 5th, 2018
San Diego – Mexico City Last flight on May 19th, 2018
San Francisco – Ft. Lauderdale Last flight on June 17th, 2018
San Francisco – Minneapolis/St. Paul Last flight on May 19th, 2018

Bottom Line

This is unfortunate as less competition on these routes will ultimately drive prices up. The Minneapolis to San Francisco route specifically had been putting pressure on Delta which has been resulting in lower fares.
