Back in August, American Express increased the welcome offer bonus on both the Gold & Platinum versions of the Delta co-branded credit cards. This limited time offer ends tomorrow on Wednesday, 9/19/18, so this is your last chance to grab the card with the increased offer.

The Platinum Delta SkyMiles card is offering a welcome offer bonus of 70k SkyMiles while the Gold Delta SkyMiles card is offering 60k SkyMiles. These match the highest publicly available offers we have ever seen for both cards.

Our Analysis

These match the highest publicly available offers we have ever seen on either of the Delta credit cards. If you have not previously earned a welcome bonus on either of these cards, now is a great time to grab them. 70,000 Delta SkyMiles can go a long way when it comes to redeeming them. Delta has had some incredible SkyMiles flash sales as of late that can imensely stretch the value of your SkyMiles.

For example, 36k SkyMiles roundtrip to London, 30k SkyMiles roundtrip to Asia and 50k SkyMiles roundtrip to Australia just to name a few. One welcome offer bonus from either of the Delta credit cards is enough to cover the cost of at least one round-trip tickets at these rates, which is the reason we place a higher value than most on Delta SkyMiles.

Thrifty Tip #3: Make sure to read our guide on Understanding Delta SkyMiles before you book your next trip.

These are not the highest ever offers.

    • Nick Serati says:

These match the highest ever publicly available offers. There are targeted offers that have been available with bigger bonuses, but again not available for everybody.
