It’s possible to receive up to 50% off of your order at wineaccess.com by stacking three separate offers. Admittedly, this deal won’t be for everybody, but if you value quality wine at an incredibly discounted price, you should be able to save quite a bit of cash.  These wines will impress anyone from the newbie all the way up to the master sommelier.

  • Save almost 50% off by stacking several offers
  • Free shipping
  • Refer friends and family to save off of future orders  ($50 per referral)
  • Exciting wine offerings compared to other offers

wineaccess.com Basics

If you are not familiar with wineaccess.com, it’s a website that allows you to buy wine directly without an annoying subscription. When you order at least $150 (or 6 bottles of wine) you will also receive free shipping.

Their base pricing is higher then you will probably find in your local wine shop, but by stacking a few different offers, which we will outline shortly, you should be able to pick up some incredible wine at a great value. It is worth noting that wineaccess.com only ships to the following states:

Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

Step #1: Wine Access Refer A Friend

The first step in taking advantage of this deal is to take advantage of their generous referral program. Through their referral program, both the person referring and the person being referred will receive a $50 credit when you purchase at least $150 dollars of wine. If you add $250 of wine to your cart, the cost will come down to $200 assuming you use a referral link. Adding $250 is the requirement in order to take advantage of the second step of this deal.

Thrifty Tip #1: Use our referral link and we will both receive $50 to spend at wineaccess.com.

Step #2: Amex Offer for $60 off a $200 Purchase at wineaccess.com

Those of you who frequent Thrifty Traveler often know that we are a huge fan of Amex Offers. They are a great way to save money on spending you are already doing and represent a great way to justify credit card annual fees. Right now, there is a targeted offer to get $60 dollars back on a purchase of $200 or more at wineaccess.com. When you combine this with the referral bonus mentioned above, it is now possible to get $110 off of a $250 wine purchase.

If you haven’t used Amex Offers before, simply log into your American Express account and scroll down near the bottom of the screen and there should be a box called Amex Offers & Benefits (this is available through the Amex mobile app as well). If you see an offer you like, simply add the offer to the card and make a qualifying purchase at that business with your card. You should receive a statement credit for the offer within a few days of making a purchase.

Step #3: Use TopCashBack to Receive an Additional 6% Off

While using the two deals mentioned above already makes this a fantastic deal, there is a way to make it even cheaper. TopCashBack, one of our favorite cash back portals is currently offering 6% off purchases at wineaccess.com. That means if you first click through TopCashBack on your way to making your purchase, you will receive 6% cash back on the total cost of your purchase. If your order was $200 ($250 less the $50 referral credit), you would receive $12 cash back! This is in addition to the $60 back you will receive from the Amex Offer mentioned in step 2.

Thrifty Tip #2: Don’t have a TopCashBack account yet? You can sign up and create one here.

Top Wine Picks

We think this is an awesome deal. If you put $250 of wine in your shopping cart, you will receive a total of $122 dollars off by stacking the three offers mentioned above. That is a savings of almost 50%!

Below, we have listed our favorite picks to get you to the $250 minimum order amount to take advantage of the offer.

Billecart-Salmon Champagne Brut Reserve – This is one of our favorite champagnes. It is the oldest continuously family owned and operated Champagne house. The Brut Reserve is their flagship bottling. This bottle retails for $60 after tax at our local shop. Being able to pick it up for under $30 is an absolute steal.

2015 Domaine des Entrefaux Crozes-Hermitage – While we haven’t had this bottling ourselves, this is a decent price for Crozes-Hermitage which is Northern Rhone Syrah. If you love Syrah or Shiraz from Australia and have never tried the OG from France this is a great place to start.

2015 Domaine du Gros Nore Bandol Rouge – Bandol is a tiny wine region on the Cote D’Azur and somewhat lesser known than the region’s famous Provence roses. This wine is perfumy, earthy, and delicious.

2014 Red Car Wine Company Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast – Red Car makes stunning cool climate Pinot Noirs! They also make delicious Pinot Noir Rose, and some of the best domestic Syrah out there.

2015 Matthiasson White Blend – Matthiasson has a bit of a cult following from those wine drinkers obsessed with the “new California”.  This is a family run winery that makes wine as naturally as possible to respect the grapes and place. The 2015 blend is roughly 50 percent Sauvignon blanc, 25 percent Ribolla gialla, 20 percent Semillon, and 5 percent Tocai friulano.

Bottom Line

As previously mentioned, this deal won’t be for everybody. If you like awesome quality wine at a bargain price, this is a no-brainer. Stacking all three offers allows you get $250 of wine for $128. I wouldn’t wait long on this one, deals like this are seldom are available for long.
